What?  He didn't ask what the trick was...
Besides, posting it publicly would take the fun away for everyone else.[;)]

Don't make me come to your house and smack you around.

FourQ -> RE: A diversion (6/24/2009 9:00:45 AM)

ROFL

Marc2b -> RE: A diversion (6/24/2009 2:00:49 PM)

Do you mock me sir?

[sm=weightlift.gif]

Oooooh. I'm really mad now.

You better spill your guts or I swear to God I'll... I'll... I'll...

I'll hit you so hard I'll kill your whole family!

Right after I get a little liquid courage. [sm=chug.gif]

FourQ -> RE: A diversion (6/24/2009 2:29:33 PM)

Actually I was laughing at the frustration of having to post a threat, even though I could see it was in jest.
Unfortunately I take threatening my son, in jest or not, somewhat more seriously.
I invite you to a dual to the death... or a retraction.

After posting that I'm not going to post any hints publicly I'm surprised nobody's PM'd me though.

Musicmystery -> RE: A diversion (6/24/2009 3:11:18 PM)

*meanwhile, unbeknownst to him while he fortifies his courage, mark2b is slowly encircled with green dots, preventing his escape....*

FourQ -> RE: A diversion (6/24/2009 3:27:36 PM)

Following a PM, here's a screen print of the trapped cat...
It does work.[;)]

Yes, I know.

Very well, I'll just hit you hard enough to kill all your friends.
(actually, I stole that line from the RSC's Complete Works of William Shakespear Abridge)

You're on!

I haven't given up yet.  I've gotten better but if there is some trick that wins every time I've yet to figure it out.

Marc2b -> RE: A diversion (6/24/2009 7:29:57 PM)

Well, every time I check this thread tonight you’re on it, FourQ but have not yet responded.  That probably means one of two things:

A)    you’ve wandered away from the computer to do something else or,

B)     you can’t figure out how to respond to my latest post.

Just to make sure there are no hurt feelings, I’m going to go with B.

It was in jest.  One, in my mind that is in the same league as (in the words of the late, great, Jackie Gleason) “Pow!  Straight to the Moon!”

If you were offended by it then I apologize.

Let’s try this one on for size instead:

If you don’t tell me the secret of the cat game I’m going to sneak into your house at night and put superglue on all of your BDSM equipment!

GreedyTop -> RE: A diversion (6/24/2009 11:22:22 PM)

tried it again, and this time it took me about 10 tries to get the little bastard

Asherdelampyr -> RE: A diversion (6/24/2009 11:44:55 PM)

Did it, won, never ever want to play it again
Ill go back to indestructo tank

I'm always signed in as instead of just using the PC's I'll use the servers which are never switched off.  I don't know what the log off time for CM is, but that's probably why.
Yes, I was offended by your comments, especially as you were told I didn't find it funny and you kept going.  Without going in to why I've waited a lot of years for my son to be born and any threats towards him, suggested in jest or otherwise will boil my blood.

I'm not going to tell you the solution but I'll give you enough hints to piece it together yourself.
  1. Take a look at what happens after your first move
  2. Analyse what happens each time you make a move
  3. Keep a couple of steps ahead of the cat.
From that you should have the solution in a few seconds.

Fair enough.

That is what I’ve been doing but the fricken pussy still seems to elude me most times.
(fricken pussy)

For anyone who is interested, this is where I stole the line from: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoM8bHQtSEU

Musicmystery -> RE: A diversion (6/25/2009 6:57:59 AM)

-the cat is drawn by your action
-stay ahead of the cat--draw your circle big and with holes at first
-plug holes as needed when the cat draws near...that way, instead of herding it to the exit, you'll herd it back inside existing dark dots
-the cat waits for you...take your time to consider moves carefully if needed.

FourQ -> RE: A diversion (6/25/2009 7:37:32 AM)

Music,
Have you tried to fill them in after you've won?

sirsholly -> RE: A diversion (6/25/2009 7:53:02 AM)

i hope he chokes on his catnip [sm=angry.gif]

FourQ -> RE: A diversion (6/25/2009 8:03:55 AM)

Holly, is it cruelty to animals if you drive a trapped virtual cat round in circles in a small enclosed space?[;)]
Or is it justified after what the cat's put you through?

I was hoping this would work on my mobile but Flash v9 isn't supported. [:(]

beargonewild -> RE: A diversion (6/25/2009 8:08:45 AM)

*grumble grumble*
Now I know why I always disliked pussies.

GreedyTop -> RE: A diversion (6/25/2009 8:43:17 AM)
