And it caused me to ponder...how many of my favorite old sayings are slightly out-of-date and need some updating? There are a few stand-by's from childhood that i utter every now and then, only to realize few people born after 1978 seem to know what the heck i am saying.

So for example the above quoted phrase might be updated as such:
"The keystroke is mightier than the long-range nuclear missile"
Do any of you have some revered saying that's reached it's expiration date, and might need some new life?

I think the above just need to be read again I don't think that they are outdated I think the People have forgotten what it is to really have to work for something.
