I found these products yesterday doing a search for lotions for the insomnia thread. Has anyone used these products and if so....how were they?

I have not used a cream to sooth spanked skin.

However, I have used tingling tanning lotion to sensitize a sub's skin prior to spanking. (Tingling tanning lotions contain niacin and other substances that make the skin flush. It feels like a temporary sunburn.)

I've used the stuff with the same active ingredients in them and they feel very nice. You can pick similar products up for a cheaper price at health stores. Unfortunatly, topical vitimin creams don't offer healing. They only give temporary relief and help with massaging.

The body can only heal itself through the inside out. This means to continue to eat your protien, oils, and vitamin E.

If you take notice though, on the website they have a spanking cream kit and in it at least one of the products listed is supposed to ADD heat to the spanking experience. Hmmmmm????

I've always used lotion, and there are so many different types to choose from, that I don't see the need for "special" spanking lotion, but that is moi....

Well, I admire the person who thought this up! I mean the marketing of it. It is a very clever idea, and makes the whole idea of spanking in your "vanilla" bedroom much more acceptable and fun. And makes this sort of thing very accessible to those who are not familiar with BDSM, per se, but like to add a little tingle to their sex. Even KY now has a "warming" jelly. Your personal lubricant! *S* Next they will be flavoring it (spicy cinnamon, anyone?), and then we won't even need to go to our specialty stores any longer for these things. Just run to the corner drugstore!
Like Utah Goddess, I use tingling tanning cream also. Easy to pick up at the tanning salon.

Or just use plain vegetable glycerin with a water soluble flavoring (you can use a flavor or certain essential oils if you do not intend on using a condom) its the same stuff you can buy that is flavored and warms on your body.

I love using creams and oils, I am partial to oils myself, but the best things I have found are the essential oils,, especially lotus oil. Its yummy (like bubble gum) and in the oldest known aphrodisiac. Love it.. Try it.. You’ll love me for it:-) Rowan

Now, if its for massage, I like to make my own oil, using almond oil as a base, and scenting it with an essential oil such as peppermint.

can someone please educate me as to what purpose the lotions and "spanking creams" have?
Do most of you use them?
I love to be played hard.. but sometimes have noticed that afterwards my cheeks are pretty rough.. kinda leathery, lol
So is it to sooth the skin... or add a little more "bite" to the experience?

hi Rowan, I too use essentail oils for many things... but I've never seen lotus oil sold. Can you give me a product name so that I can look to purchase and give it a try? As well, I'm curios to know what blending or carrier oils do you prefer to use as well, as in for 'bedroom use'?

To add more bite use pepermint oil or something along the lines of Icy Hot cream. Other wise, use plactic wrap. You can also put the pastic wrap over the skin after applying the oil or cream and then start spanking.

For after care, menthol creams such as orthgel and any skin lotion such as Euricin, Lanolin, Vitamin E, etc... will suffice.

Icey Hot get's hot while your doing the spanking and then cools down once you stoped the swating.

The fun part about cooling creams is the chilling effect they give someone after it's been put on someone with hot skin. So weither it's to add bite or begin aftercare, it's still fun on a slight sadistic side of things.

No I haven't tried that... but must say that I would like to if that's just not one other trick to get you to buy somthing REALLY useless...
