One problem if your cell phone is you only phone that wouldnt work. LOL

I usually email my sister if it goes missing so she can call it

I knew I could count on you, Cat ;)

SavageFaerie -> RE: WHERE'S MY CELL PHONE??? (6/21/2009 6:25:13 AM)

okay now that is a problem. Been there done that.

The phone I have now tends to blend in with alot of things, I am considering going back to my bright magenta phone.

I cant tell you how many phones I have lost when I was not in my house. Dead phone just dont talk back to you.
Think of the last time you used it and were, Plus if you have a tendency to walk around like I do try to retrace your steps.

LaTigresse -> RE: WHERE'S MY CELL PHONE??? (6/21/2009 7:10:29 AM)

Did that just the other night........it was in the car. Really sucks when I leave it at work.

Digs in purse... Thanx, now charging!

This is a cute service and it shows how many people have stopped using land lines.

MAJOR FALL BACK, if you left your phone on Vibrate it will not send an audible tone.

What they need is a service that will change your phone off Vibrate and Switch to the Loudest Most Audible tone available on your Phone.

Its pretty much always going to be in my purse, where I can never answer it fast enough.  I didn't want to talk to whoever it was anyway.

ThatDaveGuy69 -> RE: WHERE'S MY CELL PHONE??? (6/21/2009 8:42:08 AM)

My company - the one I just got a new job at!!! - just gave me a Blackberry and it claims to have a louder ring for "high priority" calls.  I haven't figured out how to make that work yet and I suspect you have to set up in advance what incoming numbers will be high priority, but this might be a way to deal with the vibrate mode issue.

Speaking of phones, I just successfully unlocked my old Razor phone - without paying a service to do it for me :)

That's cool.

Now if only they had ringtones and numbers for house keys.

Amen to that.  I have been attending a lot of networking meetings where they ask us to put our phones on vibrate.  Trouble is, half the time I forget to take my phone off vibrate when I get out of a meeting.

I misplaced my cell phone last week when it was on vibrate.   I still have a landline and called my cell from that.  Fortunately, it was in a place that I could hear the vibration sound.  However, there are many places around my home where I would not have heard it on vibrate.  A service that changes the cell phone setting to the loudest audible tone would be a great idea.

My dream is when it cannot sense your DNA within 75 feet, it dials home or computer screaming, " You stupid Motherfucker, you left Me in XXX AGAIN!" and it keeps going off till I locate it--

of course, I'm sorry, I have never lost My cell--evah...

LadyPact -> RE: WHERE'S MY CELL PHONE??? (6/21/2009 4:10:00 PM)

In that case, Cat, you're a better woman than I am.  Personally, I'm not a big phone person, so I can leave the thing laying somewhere and not care for a day or two.  Of course, by then, I have no idea of where I put it down last.  I can't tell you how many times I've left it in the car and not realized it until the following morning.

Oh, and I'm also in the "it's in My purse and I never get to it before the ringing is over" club.

LaTigresse -> RE: WHERE'S MY CELL PHONE??? (6/21/2009 5:55:38 PM)

Me also. Fortunately there are only three people that call me with any regularity. And two that text me. I am really not that fond of phones.

I'm in that club, too.  So often recruiters will call and I will run to find my purse to get to the cell phone.  If I don't answer in time, they will then call the landline immediately afterward and I will end up running in another direction to get to that.  At least it gives me a little exercise.

I detest phones in general and if I were not job hunting, I'd let all of the damn things ring all day long (only at home, of course [;)])

SavageFaerie -> RE: WHERE'S MY CELL PHONE??? (6/22/2009 5:31:30 AM)

Im not a big phone person, I have a cell phone because well I have been gypsying it for the last six years and having the same number and portable phone is convenient.
I really dont get all that many calls and if I get text Im going oh hell...I hate texting it take me forever....if their sending a pic great.  But damn just pick up the phone and call and not text me to death.

I dont know how many phones I have lost, even where Im living, never to be seen again, luckily it tends to be when I can get a upgrade and get one pretty cheap.

CatdeMedici -> RE: WHERE'S MY CELL PHONE??? (6/22/2009 5:53:21 AM)

Well sadly, being in international marketing and submissive to the world, if I am going to have any kind of life, I have to have a cell phone, however, its a phone, just a phone, not a multimedia entertainment center and when Im home, I use this old fashioned thing called a land line.[8D]
