I first heard Phillips when he appeared on Doctor Demento 25 years ago. He was hysterical.
Last night, he played Comedy Works and I got to see him live. A few of his gems:
I last played Denver in 1995. I didn't think I did that badly. I asked them when I could come again and they told me I could come back when a black man was elected President.
My next door neighbor is from Cuba and she speaks Cuban. Cuban is a lot like Spanish except that there are fewer words for luxury items.
My ex wife told me she wanted a divorce because she was missing that "tingle". I didn't even know what a tingle was at the time. I found out - it's equivalent to a house.
