I just found out today that my Grandmother is dying. She has been given like 3 days at tops. Now... she is 91... I know that she has had a good life. But the point of this post is to praise my Dragon. He has been my rock through this. His love and strength have never wavered.

I was wondering if others would share their experiences with me... I need to know that I am not alone in either my sorrow or my devotion for my Master.

Thank you for you ears tonight.

my grandmother died at the age of 97. She was a beautiful and strong woman, and was ready to leave this earth, but that did not change my sorrow for losing her. She died 4 years ago and i still miss her dearly. my heart goes out to you.

i am certain you are not alone in the devotion you feel toward your Master. my Master is my source of strength - the rock that is my foundation. The strength of your Master is something you can and do count on. Keep your focus on him, and on his strength, during this most difficult time and it will help you through.

i will keep you in my thoughts...

My grandmother killed herself at 76. Long life, but couldn't live with the pain and her shattering body. My Master was not part of my life when that happened, 10 years ago. His strength and being in my life NOW has healed hurts long before I looked into his eyes the first time. He, too, is the bedrock I can stand upon. He holds me up when I cannot stand, and shelters me from harm. He has listened to me and let me mourn, sometimes over and over, losses of people he never knew and I've never healed from, until now...

I am grateful that you have your Dragon, and that your grandmother has had you.

I'm really sorry to hear about your grandmother. Mine also died at age 91 and I still miss her.

My own first grandchild is on the way, now, and I've come to realize that I want to be the kind of grandmother to this child that she was to me. And I thank her for that.

May I offer my sympathy at your loss, and my congratulations at having a partner who can be strong when you cannot. My Grandmother died last year at 105. She had a long life, but I only got to share 45 years of it...and it simply was not enough.

Be well

When my mom went in for her first biopsy, I was strong and confident through it because my sister is always the one who cries and gets upset and my mom needed me to be calm and comfortable for her. Later that night I met my local partner and was able to cry on his shoulder and work all the tension and fear out.

She finished her last radiation treatment yesterday! Woohoo!

My deepest sympathies on your loss. I lost my Grandmother at the same age, and while it was a sorrow to lose her presence among us, it was also a blessing to see the legacy of children, grandchildren, friends, and loved ones that were all there to pay tribute to her. Truly it is wonderful to see a life well-lived. I hope you find similar comfort in your sorrow, and am glad that you have your Master to help you through this difficult time.
Peace and blessings.

Phoenix,

While i rarely find myself at a loss for words, that time is now. i have typed and retyped this message three times already, and each variation i know to be inadequate.

i shall extend a prayer to you and your loved ones this eve, and will thank my God for all of the beauty that i am certain that your Grandmother added to this life.

warm regards
michael
