I believe in learning at least 1 new fact every day. It's summer and I don't want my brain to melt from inactivity and WoW. It's a good habit and I feel I should share it [:)]. Treat it like a game. You can name 1 true or false statement and a fact behind it. After doing so, you are free to ask the next person who posts a question that you don't know the answer to. Serious answers to the questions asked would be appreciated. None of this (Q: why is the sky blue? A: Because all of the other colors were taken.) And keep it clean please.

My Turn

False: You get warts by touching frogs and toads.
Actually the warts virus is a contagion passed through contact with carriers. It's not clear why some people catch it more easily that others, but it's clear that it does not come from frogs or toads.

Question: Why do cats rub against corners and people so much?

At first it was going to be a true or false game where someone makes a statement and we try to guess if it's true or false but I thought that it would turn south after someone says something that could be either true or false. So I changed the game in my mind and tried to make it match the title. But I guess it doesn't matter. It seems this thread is one big fail.

    i'll admit, i haven't seen a lot of his work, but the way he revved my engine when he played the "beast" (sigh, swoon, faint and drool), in the tv series beauty and the beast won me over completely.   so i give a very subjective TRUE to that.

    true or false:  if i eat only carrots for a month straight, my skin will take on an orange hue?

    I can tell you that many people TRY to put up what you would categorize as an "honest, non-hiding" pic and it can be rejected.

    There have been threads on this.

    So many people use none or the ones provided by the site.
