I have a question about the "reporting" functions on this website.

I have recently been being "harassed" by a user who has also sending out mail concerning me in bulk. I used the support form and was told to use another form. Upon using that form to report the several pieces of received form this person I noticed that the forms aren't actually read by humans.

So how can I report that someone is sending mail concerning me to other people? What is the logic behind only reviewing a message if it's marked by a set number of people? This doesn't seem like it would ever result in anyone being "punished" for breaking the rules because most people will simply delete the mail instead of reporting it if it does not concern them.

So I suppose my question is, is there any recourse if someone is sending out hatemail concerning you

Yeah.  Ignore it.

I have received some contacts here from people I did not know.  In every case, they referred to some specific post I had made.  When I contact people who I don't know, I reference something specific that caused the post.

If someone I did not know sent me something defamatory about someone else I didn't know, I'd ignore and delete.

I doubt that your detractors will make anyone think anything except that they are idiots.

Not wanting to minimise what may be happening to you but is it possible they read your profile and are taking you literally?

It is he said she said if you tell support someone is doing something. The only way to actually take action is to have the message reported. If the people recieving the message report it itll trip the monitor. If they are deleting it and ignoring it,  thats good enough for you. They still arent taking any interest in what it said. And seriously, anyone who is going to hold something against you that was sent unsolicited? Why do you care? They arent who you want around anyhow if they are that easily swayed.

I have gotten no response, from the forms where you report it as a bad email, but I did ask a question about it in one of the forums which resulted me receiving an inquiry from a moderator
