i was just wondering how important the age of a slave is when searching for a slave

DavanKael -> RE: age (6/27/2009 10:59:26 PM)

Depends on the person.  In seeking a partner, I would say generally 12 or so years older than me and maybe 3-4 years younger than me would be an acceptable span.  There are exceptions potentially (For example, prior to my most recent relationship, I would have said no one younger than me as life partner potential).
Everyone has preferences.

How many of these age topics come up on these boards? I swear this is the fourth one i have seen so far. We need a Q&A

thetammyjo -> RE: age (6/28/2009 7:59:25 AM)

I agree with DavanKael though my personal preferences and limits are in the opposite direction.

I need someone at least 18, mid-20s is better to my age. I don't have interests in someone much older than me for personal reasons that have to do with my childhood and in fact at some point older turns from a preference into a hard limit for me.

Or and if someone has a problem with my preferences and hard limits in regard to age, they can invite a time machine, go back and prevent some truly horrific things and then I might listen to their rants.

You mean a FAQ?

 How could you quote that Akasha? Some of us at the very least are convoluted.

PeonForHer -> RE: age (6/28/2009 4:01:56 PM)

You think?  I was a bloody sight more complicated as a youngster than I am now.  It's taken many years of hard work to become the simpleton that I am today, I can tell you.

Well, keep at it, Peon.  In 20 years, you just might find a woman who can put up with you.  [:D]

PeonForHer -> RE: age (6/28/2009 4:37:37 PM)

Oh no, when I become pubescent, it'll be too late!

AlexandraLynch -> RE: age (6/28/2009 5:22:34 PM)

Age is less important than life aims, actually. That said, there is a reason that young men have a reputation for inconstancy and vacillation, and it's because many of them have done that.

PeonForHer -> RE: age (6/28/2009 5:36:09 PM)

Oh no, Alexandra - this could become another age-of-subs thread - dangerous territory!

But it's true of myself, joking aside.  Some men are clear of who they are and what they want at a young age - but I certainly wasn't one of them.  I was a moody, self-centred, depressed, angry little sod.  I've heard it said that you grow to become more yourself as you get older.  I really am more simple and straightforward than I was then, and a lot happier with it.

StoneFox -> RE: age (6/28/2009 8:33:35 PM)

25-35 is what I like and yes, it is important for me personally.

AlexandraLynch -> RE: age (6/28/2009 10:09:41 PM)

Oh, no, not that! (laugh)

It's quite true on the female side of things too; I often say that I spent most of my twenties undoing the fucking up that my parents did.  I didn't get into WIITWD til I was in my thirties simply because I was busy working out that I really was a dominant personality and that the world wouldn't end if I was myself all through my twenties.

And, you know, doing my bit to continue the species and all that.

You say "convoluted" like it's a bad thing :)

Starbuck09 -> RE: age (6/29/2009 9:52:14 AM)

Ah well now that would depend on your definition of bad...

There is no such thing as bad. Just "needing correction..."

Starbuck09 -> RE: age (6/29/2009 10:02:33 AM)

Spoken like a true dominant Akasha but not, neccesarily,  true I think. Some young men's ''bad'' areas are the spice in the stew of their personality that makes them interesting.

Voodali -> RE: age (6/29/2009 10:04:14 AM)

Age is a matter of personal taste. I tend to be attracted to boys who are scandalously young, but I also tend to take them less seriously, and perhaps unfairly, think them less capable of commitment, loyalty and follow-through.  Past a certain age, usually though not always approximately 10 years older than me, I find I cannot be attracted to a man, especially if he has a moustache.  The look reminds me of a close relative, which under any circumstances other than platonic, fills me with revulsion.  I wasn't abused in any sense of the word, I just have no incestuous feelings. Everyone has their reasons, and tastes will vary depending on personal aesthetics and experience.
