Only Billy could give Ron Popiel a run for his money...

Act now and we'll double your order! That's right! You'll get 2 funerals for the same low price.  And these are COMPLETE funerals!  Just look at all you get:  flowers, mass cards, herse and limo sevice -both to AND from- the grave site, custom head stone, casket, burial vault, complete embalming and so much more!  But act now as this is a limited time offer!

So many celebrity death trios lately, it's hard to keep up!

That means two more will die if this triple number keeps going.

To all that have passed on recently for whatever reason my sympathies to their families..

damn celebrities are dropping like flies lately.

MarsBonfire -> RE: Billy Mays Dead At 50 (6/28/2009 10:21:15 AM)

I'm sorry if this report is true. 50 is way too soon for anyone. But I can't help but also be a little bit relieved. His commercials and that show he did, "Pitchmen" for TDC are sooo frackin' annoying. I'm sure the gay "bear" community is in deep sorrow over it though.

I prayed for that man to be permanently silenced! Granted, a lifetime case of laryngitis would have done just fine.

They say it might have something to do with a plane, he bumped his head upon landing because a tire was flat.  Not sure anything will come of it, but I think it's grasping at a reason for why things happen, pretty natural.

I feel so bad for his wife and family..losing someone is always hard, but when it's so sudden..wow.

RIP and blessings

Police are conducting forensic tests on a ShamWow that was found at the scene.

Maybe there's a cosmic dead pool going on?

I didn't mind Billy Mays so much, the mute button was my friend when he came on.

May he rest in peace.

Did Billy have any unexplained bite marks? Or maybe, Slapchop injuries?

thornhappy -> RE: Billy Mays Dead At 50 (6/28/2009 11:37:41 AM)

I thought the OP was joking at first...

I saw a few episodes of Pitchmen, and it was interesting to hear that he has an "inside voice".

slutslave4u -> RE: Billy Mays Dead At 50 (6/28/2009 11:53:01 AM)

It is strange still that celebrities are dying as they are all of a sudden. While yes he did say his head was hit just yesterday by flying debris in the plane, there will be no telling if that was the cause or had anything to do with it until the autopsy on Monday......and yes, still, another so young!

sleazybutterfly -> RE: Billy Mays Dead At 50 (6/28/2009 12:00:16 PM)

Great..another death for people to joke about.

It's good to see that so many can get their jollies off again today.  I wouldn't want to see an opportunity passed by.

I have no attachment to him whatsoever, but he still meant something to someone.

I will make sure and not post if I ever have a death of someone close, I don't think I could contain my enthusiasm at the barrage of jokes that would ensue.

ThatDaveGuy69 -> RE: Billy Mays Dead At 50 (6/28/2009 1:03:16 PM)

Tragedy + Time = Comedy.
In inverse proportions... Thus, the greater the tragedy and the shorter the time, the greater the comedy.

Also, the viciousness of the attacks is in direct proportion to how annoying the celeb was.  Notice that there are no mean-spirited Farah jokes going around.  In fact, the only Farah joke I've seen is actually a Michael Jackson joke:

When Farah arrived at the Pearly Gates, St Peter greeted her and told her that because she had lead her life with such integrity that she would be granted 1 wish upon entering heaven.  Farah thought for a moment and said she wanted all children everywhere to be safe.  A minute later, Michael Jackson appeared.

So if Michael Jackson had died at the height of his stardom in the 80's, before all the surgeries, skin bleaching, Lisa Marie, Bubbles, Blanket, etc, there would have been very few attacks, just a sense of loss.  But since he went completely whacko he's fair game.

And as for Mr. May, yes, it's a loss for his family -a death always is- but it's a gain for anyone who watches TV.  Any chance we can get that other info-mercial kid up in a plane...?

As Dennis Leary once said: Stevie Ray Vaughan is dead and we can't get Jon Bon Jovi up in a helicopter?!

Happy Sunday, folks...

Not to mention, as some will surely say when I leave this planet, dying does not automatically make someone eligible for sainthood.

Yeah! I think you hit the nail on the head Stef! I was that Shamwow guy! That BASTARD!
We need to start a celebrity deathpool, they're dropping like flies!

sleazybutterfly -> RE: Billy Mays Dead At 50 (6/28/2009 3:23:53 PM)

I suppose it depends on which definition of saint that people prefer to use.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint

I am not sure where my definition exists.  I was brought up in a protestant home, I have studied catholicism along with other religions and I know their idea of saints is different.

I personally can't think of a celebrity I would put up as a saint under most ideas of the term, if I used the protestant idea...then I guess I would have to change my thought process and say there are past celebrities that are saints.

PotaTOE...PAtato...
