I am writing this on behalf of my subby hubby and myself.. we are not new to cm- we met on here two years ago and we really appreciate being part of the site. We, however, live in the most unpopulated kink community in the country and have absolutely no r/t experience. [:(]
It's fun to have online friends to share interests with and learn from- but to have no experience besides what we've shared together is really becoming depressing. It seems everyone we have met is part of a fantastic supported community or has attended related events. Do you have to be invited to these things to experience them? Yes, I realize I am really sounding pitiful by now. But we have talked to numerous kind folks, joined tons of yahoo groups, searched websites upon websites for any community meet ups within a hundred mile radius... and just never get the right answers. And so it has come down to pouring this all out on a forum (is this the right forum for this??) in hopes of getting any advice, good or bad, that could be offered. We've got a good sense of humor so anything goes.
So there it is.
