Hmmm. I dunno. It isn't really a CT, and Charlie Tuna is a real person (disc jockey).

How about Chris Thorndyke (a comic book character that first appeared in "Sonic X" #1) instead?

A rich child who saves Sonic from drowning and has become a close ally ever since, Chris is the first human who befriends Sonic when he first came to Earth. They met after Chris saved Sonic from drowning in his pool and let Sonic and his friends stay in his home till they should find a way to go home.

As for, then, CU:

Sir Christopher Urswick, from Shakespeare's Richard III

But then, he was technically a real person too, albeit fictionalized in Shakespeare's play.

So if that's a problem....there's always Captain Underpants.

[Yeah, I know, I'm taking this far too seriously...]

That would be a pseudonym, a stage name perhaps, but not a fictional character.

How about Chase Yale, war correspondent, who assumed the role of Commando Yank because he didn't think reporting on the war was doing enough to further his country's cause. Wow Comics.

As for CZ: Commander Zarz, an Alien in Gold Key comics.

Davy Byrne, James Joyce's Ulysses

Leopold Bloom visits Byrne's pub after leaving the beastly Burton Hotel in "The Lestrygonians." Byrne discusses Bloom with his friend Nosey Flynn; while they agree that he is an upstanding person, they also agree that he is noncommittal, standoffish and ambivalent.

Darcy (Stilton) Cheesewright.  Character from PG Wodehouse's Bertie Wooster stories, in love with Florence Craye. The standard plotline is that after Florence gets engaged to Bertie (a fate he hates), Stilton chases Bertie in a jealous rage.

Musicmystery -> RE: AA-ZZ of fictional "people" (7/6/2009 5:02:46 AM)

[HPH--Don in that instance is a title, like "Sir" or "Mister," indicating a nobleman]

Dan Ketch has been bonded with the spirit of vengeance, his ancestor, Noble Kale to form Ghost Rider. Since his return Dan had been working for Zakiel. Dan became the most powerful Ghost Rider ever before being used to blow up the walls of heaven.

HatesParisHilton -> RE: AA-ZZ of fictional "people" (7/6/2009 5:11:32 AM)

Yeah, I know Don is a titular but I think he was done as a crap indie comic character b one of those wankface hacks that always rip off the stye of Hate because they can't fucking DRAW, and in this case the Don was for Donald and it was a nickname for him being a romantic and sexual failure (yes it was written by one of those sullen early 90's grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrls with the plastic cat's eye Glasses and yes she was pals with one of the LuLu heads of State, bummed around ChicagoCon, think she balled a friend of Denys COwan trying to "break in").
