An entirely new arsenal of weapons, based on devices designed to introduce subliminal messages or to alter the body's psychological and data-processing capabilities, might be used to incapacitate individuals. These weapons aim to control or alter the psyche, or to attack the various sensory and data-processing systems of the human organism. In both cases, the goal is to confuse or destroy the signals that normally keep the body in equilibrium.

it goes on:

These weapons are used against the mind to induce hallucinations, sickness, mutations in human cells, "zombification," or even death. Included in the arsenal are VHF generators, X-rays, ultrasound, and radio waves

> A psychotronic generator, which produces a powerful electromagnetic emanation capable of being sent through telephone lines, TV, radio networks, supply pipes, and incandescent lamps.

> The 25th-frame effect, alluded to above, a technique wherein each 25th frame of a movie reel or film footage contains a message that is picked up by the subconscious. This technique, if it works, could possibly be used to curb smoking and alcoholism, but it has wider, more sinister applications if used on a TV audience or a computer operator. > Psychotropics, defined as medical preparations used to induce a trance, euphoria, or depression.

The article can be found here -->

Some of this we knew- the movie experiment is pretty old.  We also know the lack of sunlight can effect a human to be depressed.   This work- is from 1997, so it is "old" by now 2009.

So- the question is to what extent is this teck used in our world- say by anyone trying to extract money out of your pocket?

To what extent is this type of thing?

A fast food place- uses colors to excite people- but the chairs are not comfy to sit there too long.  Everything is designed to guide the person toward a planned outcome.

It would be curious to know just how extensive this is 2009, and what is on the doorstep right now.

Any thoughts on the topic??

There's a lot to the article that's been called into question.

Actually Hunky, people go to school to learn to do exactly that. It's called advanced marketing.

When it comes to the high tech stuff most people haven't seen it so it remains in question, as it is the word of a few. I am sure they hesitate to use it for that reason, to keep it under wraps. Some of these things can be explained by scientific and technical knowledge already available, so it is logical to assume the some of it is true. However there is always a tendency towards exageration, so some things probably are not.

Research into subliminal suggestion has been going on since before our time, back to the time when your local cinema would splice in one frame in a movie that simply said "POPCORN !". The reaction was proven long before there was ever a Man on the moon to say the least. And that is from an image on the screen for 1/24th of a second. I am pretty sure they made it illegal, but don't take that to the bank.*

To really say what they have and get a clear picture of it we need to know alot more. For one how far will they go ? The evidence is not promising. We know they let a bunch of people die of syphillis just to find out what happens. I guess they really wanted those pictures. In light of that, what do you think they would do to advance ANY kind of thought control or anything along those lines ? I think they would go pretty far, and I don't think we know a third of it.

T

* that was used strictly as a figure of speech, but I think it fit nicely.
