Damned right. I wouldn't do it that way. It works pretty slick in the movies, but in real life, coming up behind someone, slapping an ether-soaked rag over their face, and holding them still until they pass out would be a much more complicated exercise. It takes a while, during which time a lot can go wrong. If i were abducting someone - for real - I'd use a taser to bring 'em down, and then restrain them while they're twitching on the ground. There's still a lot that can go wrong in terms of them getting hurt, but it's a much more reliable way to immobilize them.
