sodsta -> Clubs in San Francisco? (7/2/2009 2:25:35 PM)

I'm travelling to San Francisco in a couple of weeks with a few friends and while we're there we'd like to check out some local clubs. Unfortunately, not knowing the area at all, I have no idea what's what, so I'd be really grateful if anyone could help me out with a list of clubs and/or links to club websites. :)

Thanks :D

I don't know of any   clubs Other than the Citadel and it's only open if a party is going on,  but I can tell you there's two sex stores, Mr leather and madam leather, Mr selling for the guys and M selling for the girls, and a couple of other leather clothing an sex toy type shops, but the other two I don't know the name of just that we passed them on our way to the Citadel.

http://soj.org/calendar/  That is one of the better community calendars for SF.

http://www.sfcitadel.org/

www.edges.biz Edges is a HUGE play space about an hour south of the SF and well worth checking out

http://www.bondage-a-go-go.com/  Famous kinky bdsm dance club

Sacramento is only an hour and a half and we have a great playspace as well as a wondeful group, Pleasurebound.org

SimplyMichael nailed it.  I would definitely check out the SOJ calendar, as it will list the type of parties offered at the Citadel for a specific weekend.  Certain parties have requirements such as men only, under 40, MaleDom/femsub, etc.  The SOJ calendar also lists the munches in the bay area, a great way to meet people.

Hope you have a wonderful time here!

Here are a couple more: http://kinkysalon.com/ http://www.folsomstreetfair.com/alley/ (street fair similar to Folsom, but on a smaller scale) http://www.folsomstreetfair.com/bayofpigs/ (party the night before, geared more toward gay and bi men, but as far as I know, women and transpeople are also welcome)

The Marquis Fetish ball (  http://www.madame-s.com/FB.html ) is the next big event. That's about it for London-like dressy fetish events.

Bondage a Go Go is usually fun, and it's every Wednesday.

The Citadel is very politically correct by London standards, and they take themselves way too seriously.

Mr. S caters to the gay leather crowd, what's left of it. Madame S has cut back since Paige White gave it up. Stormy Leather is still good.

The SF scene is much less active than it was a few years ago.
