Assuming that you don't wear your regular collar, of course. I am looking for something to symbolize His collar that is discreet for vanilla/public wearing. Just looking for ideas. :)

In part it depends on whether you and He want something just to remind yourself, or something to subtly broadcast to others that you belong to someone. I lean more in the former direction, and I had a sub who made her own beaded choker to wear, and another who wore an anklet. A friend of mine wears a "ring of o" that she and her master purchased online that is styled to take the place of a collar in public and is pretty recognizable by people "in the know."

anything that goes around this slave's neck is His collar---it matters not if it is gold encrusted with diamonds or leather with D-rings---it's the symbolism, not the construction materials that make it what it is.
 
He has many for His slave to wear and He changes between them as the mood strikes Him.

melinda wears a silver torc that can be locked on.  We bought two at Camden Market in London.

A silver necklace with a heart pendant on it is my collar. We have a leather play one, but that's not something I can wear for long periods of time.

MasterK's collar that I wear is a double rope sterling silver chain that I wear 24/7, except for cleaning. Almost everyone just thinks it's a beautiful necklace.

We don't have a collar I wear since we're just not at that point yet...but I wear a bracelet everyday that he bought me when we were on vacation. I love it and it constantly reminds me of him. The only time I take it off is when he places cuffs on me and it starts to cut into my skin.

i have a gold anklet I wear all the time and only take it off for cleaning or resizing it. I didn't even take it off going through airport security a few months ago, I forgot too but the alarm didn't go off. I also have a silver chain I wear around my neck all the time.

Well, when the pet isn't wearing his collar, which unfortunately is kind of often, due to sensitive skin, he tends to have a nice silk cord with an engraved tag on it.  He wears it with the same pride as his collar, and it can be easily tucked under the shirt or whatever for the rare occasion where he or I feel it would be inappropriate to have his collar in public.  For the most part though, if he wants to wear his collar in public, that's more than fine by me, and if anyone has a problem with it, I'd be happy to tell them right where they can shove their opinion and what brand of chunky peanut butter they can use as lubricant.


EDIT:  I also might suggest a locket.  You can put things other than pictures in them if you want.  Engraved, locks of hair, whatever.  They're stylish, beautiful, elegant and classic.

I usually wear a very simple necklace that I got at some store I don't even remember and close it with one of those small, pretty diary locks. Some people asked, but since locks are the latest fashion right now (at least where I live) anyway, it is just seen as a creative idea, nothing else.
I only change from my normal collar (a metal one) to that when I am either meeting with someone who would feel offended by it or am visiting my parents.
Besides this I have one of those "rings of o" that we purchased in Amsterdam recently.

I wear a Tiffany padlock on a short silver chain. It only comes off for showering and when I colour my hair.
I also have one silver and one gold snake chain chokers, and a filigree heart padlock pendant for "dressy" occasions.

For wear in public she has a silver anklet which she will wear at all times, except during play when it may interfere with other cuffs...*grin*...so at those times I'll take it off for a while.

With my ex I had a silver collar that was just subtle enough that most people assumed it was just a very unusual choker. I wore it everywhere and never had any problems. And they're easy enough to buy online.

I wear a silver necklace with a key charm on it.  To my family and the general public it's simply a pretty necklace.  I did laugh when my niece told me she was going to 'steal' it from me...ummmm no, no you're not!
