I am not sure if we are talking about the same method. The method I am describing is by physically blocking the ejaculate.
If we are talking about the same method, I at one time also did not really think it did any damage and had done it many times. I then read something that led me to abandon the practice. That I am not able to find that source easily and did not see any references to avoiding the practice puts to question how common the adverse effect is if it exists. Anyone who is considering doing it would be better served researching the matter than relying on my temporary experience and that of your husband, and what each of us might think. It may be that different people respond differently. It may be that some effect did occur but was not obvious or detected. It may be that the duration was too brief.
