Master and His slave enjoyed a most exquisite pleasure recently and it is called Rasul.

Rasul comes from an ancient Oriental ceremony that includes a colorful bee-hive shaped chamber, herb infused steam bath, with special medicinal earths (terra sigillata) and total nudity. It is a fantastic sensory experience based on an interplay of the different elements: water, fire, earth and scented air – used in their best efficiency. Beautiful ambiance, under a star filled sky –Traditionally done on one’s wedding night, the service is offered at spas that have the unique Rasul chamber necessary for the experience.

a technician walks you through the basics, then you and your partner are left alone to bathe and massage mud all over each other. this removes dead skin cells and, supported by the massaging effect, muscles and metabolism are stimulated(among other things!!). besides the overwarming and the inhalation of herbal steam the unique effects of the Rasul come from the absorbing properties of the medicinal earth. toxins and wastes are drawn from the skin, and the peeling prepares the skin’s surface for the absorption of nourishing oils.

we relaxed and got “spiritual”as the steam infused the herbal sachet in the chamber (insert imagination running wild) which is lit from above by tiny points of lights so as to simulate stars in the sky. after some time, a shower washes the mud off and you exit the chamber into the ante-room where you dry off and liberally apply fragrant nourishing oils to each others bodies, herbal tea is optional. They give you an hour, but this slave imagines if you had one at home you could enjoy it MUCH longer.

So folks, anyone else done this or heard of this being offered at a day-spa near you, or elsewhere? If so, please let us know…it would be well worth the road trip to the location, since it might be a while before we can get one installed in the home dungeon!!! If not, this slave HIGHLY recommends it, especially if you have an upcoming wedding night or collaring. It could make a memorable and intimate addition to either ceremony if that is in your future plans!

Oh, it sounds fabulous, and like the perfect thing I would love to do upon marriage or a collaring.
I googled it, and couldn't find anything in My local area. Did you go to Las Vegas? That is where the Rasul Ceremony showed up and it is referenced with the Arizona listings for the many day spas we have here. With the amount of tourism we have, spas are getting more and more lavish.
So you might be interested in some of the other offerings available if you trek on over to Arizona! And I'll be glad to meet you for dinner!

Dusty,
Yes we did. We stayed at the Venetian and found out about Rasul through a suggestion by the concierge. The spa at the Venetian is called "Canyon Ranch". This site describes the treatment. On second thought, the description doesn't do it justice. http://www.canyonranch.com/spaclubs/venetian/spa_services/body_treatments.asp

beth hasn't had any luck finding one in LA either. The 'chairs' that you sat in were the size of single person spas turned on one end. You sat facing each other in a darkened room, by the light of fiber optic "stars". There is a water fountain creating background sounds. All the while herbal enhanced steam is puring into the room. According to the people at the spa, it's an expensive process to set up the room. They also said it doesn't get used that much because; "takes a 'special' type of couple to try it". It definitely was one of the highlights of the trip.

Which spa in Arizona advertised it? It is a FUN experience. Arizona is easy to get to and if they have the same type facility we'll make it a point to visit. We'd love to enjoy a dinner with you!

It's Canyon Ranch in Tucson. A fer piece fer Me!
But they do say it is the Canyon Ranch in Vegas that offers the Rasul Ceremony, so I am ascertaining that this is the only place that has the set up for it at this time.
Thought you might have gone to Vegas, since I know you bop on over there from time to time. But the link I put in the other post describes some pretty cool day spas in My own Valley of the Sun!
