MistressLyra -> Yahoo Messenger Avatar (7/6/2009 9:57:02 AM)

If someone blocks you from Yahoo Messenger, can you still see their avatar?
Because I have this friend that I all the sudden see a grey smiley avatar and my friend has always had a photo up that I have been able to see even when my friend is online or offline.

MistressEllen444 -> RE: Yahoo Messenger Avatar (7/6/2009 9:59:45 AM)

Good question. I have always wondered about deleting someone from your list, seems that they can still see when you are online. Once you accept them initially, can you not take it back?
Hope this is not a hijack, just thought if someone knows the answer to your question they may also know the answer to mine.

Arpig -> RE: Yahoo Messenger Avatar (7/6/2009 10:24:46 AM)

Does it really matter if they have you blocked or not? I have always wondered about people who need to know if they are blocked or if the other person is just offline. What difference does it make, the other person obviously doesn't want to speak to you right now.

Arpig

Don't be a threadspoiler.
I did not ask you to question my purpose.
Please stick to the subject and if you do not have a solution to the question asked then find a thread that you have a proper reply for.

Arpig -> RE: Yahoo Messenger Avatar (7/6/2009 10:48:24 AM)

Sorry, but I believe my response was relevant.

SteelofUtah -> RE: Yahoo Messenger Avatar (7/6/2009 11:01:49 AM)

As do I Lyra,

Also I find your reply to be rather chastizing for a post you put up that basically deals with something you should be able to find out from Customer Support on YAHOO not on CollarChat.

beyond that few people take well to being bullied or told what to do on a Forum Board.

Perhaps in addition to your research you could also look into the general flow of information on this site as you will find being condesending or chastizing goes over poorly here.

I was thinking similar.  Moreover, it's a sign of laziness frankly.  Why the initial two posters ask a bunch of strangers questions that you can find out yourself by checking the support or guidelines?  What did your last slaves die of - or should one not ask?

Bullied?

I can't see how I have bullied anyone. However I myself got bullied by mr Arpig here questioning why I would want to know such a thing that I personally do not think is any of his concern or business.
I asked simply why I couldn't see the photo of a friend's yahoocontact and all the sudden I get questioned? Geezes, some of you sure do give yourself freedom.

It seems to me that this forum is a closed circle for inbound admirers, unfortunately I am not the one. But it's okay, it sure is the first and last time I bother to question anything in Collarme Forums as I avoid closed circles admirers to the fullest.
I want to communicate with people with proper manners which so far I have only seen from me and MistressEllen444 here.

FullCircle -> RE: Yahoo Messenger Avatar (7/6/2009 2:04:44 PM)

Yes grey means they blocked you. I did some research for you at the ministry of Yahoo.

OP no one bullied you at all. If you think any reply you got here was bullying then you really need to grow a thicker skin. I've gotten much worse replies than anything in this thread.

Assigning yourself the title of Mistress doesn't excuse you from civility or basic courtesy.

If you can't handle the comments your thread generates or differing opinions of other posters, I'd advise you to stick to journals. At least until you learn better social skills.

Thank you FullCircle for answering me and also being able to keep to the subject and not step in like a knight defending your friends like it's some kind of Internet Kindergarten:)

mmhmm hard to believe

While I agree if tech support is good tech support is not always helpful nor do they always reply to questions. So sometimes you end up asking people other than tech support of that service.

Ahhh but Tfb,

look at the above link. The Answer was easily found.

All she had to do was ACTUALLY LOOK instead she came here to have someone else search for her.

That's true, the link didn't work for me though firefox is picky about what it considers a working link I guess, or how long it's willing to wait for a page to load because many times fire fox won't display something but Ie will
