The police are to examine claims of widespread mobile phone hacking by the News of the World, following calls for an inquiry into the affair.

It's quite a good excuse for the government to try and take light off the expenses row, but none the less, pretty tasteless.

More avoidance tactics then, as per usual.

Would it be to much to hope that politicians who have been hacked and spied on will think twice before voting in favour of the huge database they are currently putting together of our emails, text messages and even what we say here.

You have to wonder why the News of the World hacked Nigella Lawson's phone !!!!!!

because dat AZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ is just too juicy even compared to her roast duck, dat's why.

but seriously, this all comes from Rupey Dupe Murdock, the AUSSIE "kind-of not really" who shafted fellow Aussies and fires journo's at the drop of a hat, so if Rupe-tard fucks over rights of people by hacking into their phones  WHILE selling advertising for such phones, and he's been a cockless scum since the late 80's is there anything to be surprised over here?

I think the bigger issue isnt so much Murdochs rag, its the fact that officials trusted with information on the public are selling it for cash. I know it has always gone on, but with more information being stored online, privacy, for all, is a big concern.

Last night a figure of twenty journalists being involved was mentioned, any found to have broken the law, as well as their bosses, should face prosecution.
