My vote was for any age because I don't aspire to live to be a particular age. My time is up when the good Lord says so.

That means you have a good 50-60 years left girly    Because I deem it so!

Thank you Bear-O-Yummy I lubs you!!!

I'm aiming for a minimum of 100, got too much to experience! Even then I need another 4-5 lifetimes extra

And LaT.......you calculations makes you 46, not 47 as you're 2 years younger than I am.

Bear my dear, I have it on good authority, I am 47. I already had my birthday this year.

(unless my dad is as spacy as I am...........)

Wooo Hooo LaT is older than me for a whole month! What does this mean? I must serve you and pamper you until I turn 47? Heck, I'd do it anyway.

One reason i started this poll was that my father is 94 and my step mom (his wife) is 97.

i can not imagine what it would be like if they had been removed from my life at any earlier age.  It is even harder for me to contemplate their leaving before or at age 100.

I voted for any age... .When it's time, it's time. I don't want to be a drain on family and friends. I worked on an ambulance for 6 years and saw firsthand what it's like when people try to avoid the inevitable. No heroic measures to save me, unless there's a damned good chance on recovery and recuperation.

I'd also prefer to be here as long as Lumus is... I can't imagine living without Him anymore. Amazing how one Person can mean so much to another.

having worked taking care of many 100 yo i have to say 70 to 80 would do me just fine. its heart breakig to hear someone in their right mind say "i must have been a very wicked child for God to punish me by letting me live so long." she was 106. no family no friends living and a world so different that she couldnt comprehend most of the changes. the body deteriorates even with the best care. and believe me this body hasnt gotten the best care.

I'm not afraid to die.

I'd like to be remembered for my work, irrespective of whether it becomes known before I die or posthumously.

However I don't really think about it, but figure that when it happens and I notice it I will find some way of coping with it.

If I make it to 90 I will be the first in my family to do so for at least four generations.

Considering I had three grandparents live with perfect cognition into their 90's (one will be 97 in Sept. and still lives by herself, functions, teaches folk dancing and secretly runs the world), I expect to be whole until then.

The only damper on this plan is that Master doesn't think His genes will grant Him a lifespan to equal mine. Genes be damned- I will NOT let Him go earlier than me! (Is that topping from the bottom? )

when i was a kid.. i used to think i wanted to live to 100...and if things were still such an idealic life.. then yeah..i'd still want to live to 100.

But..facing 50% odds of inheriting Huntingtons from my mother..and having watched the quality of life for the last 18 or so years of her life.. before dying in her early 70's... well.. i have grown up enough to realize that 100 would be WAY to many years to live.. if i happen to get the disease.

i also am one of those people..that will eventually know exactly the date and time and every minute detail of my death... if i end up choosing to take those matters into my own hands. Sure... i COULD get run over by a bus in the meantime... but not very likely.

i am 38 now.. and think 50 will be about it
