does it matter? my first play session with people, i like to know they can use their imagination and what's on hand wherever we may be...

as far as insertables goes: i have no idea why everyone is so big on it only being used on them when most times the guys cock has been used on others and no one says, you can't use that on me because you used it on someone else!

i had some toys of my own before i met Master- the collection has since grown in our time together as together we have gotten more toys- more outfits, rope, chains, shoes, clamps, etc......i am the holder of all toys(and have become an expert in hiding them safely ) except he holds on to his velcro straps....so needless to say my bag i bring when we meet has gotten seriously out of control lol....

I've always had my own collection of insertables. As far as toys go i never thought a submissive should carry their own toys.....to do so seems like topping from the bottom to me. I wouldn't expect a Dominant to only play with the toys that i liked or were my favorites.
Since my last Master passed and i "inherited" His toy bag now i'll show what i have, offer to share if they want to incorporate them into play but i also like the idea that someone will be using their own toys..the ones familiar..their weight and the results they produce.

I don't see it as topping from the bottom, as the D will choose what s/he wants to use. I purposely put a wide selection of toys in my bag, some of which I really REALLY don't like (as a certain D here knows after hitting me with that *%$#@ backscratcher). Of course, if the sub only has a few toys that s/he likes and hard limits everything else, I can see your point. OTOH, it seems rather unfair to expect the D to provide all the toys.

Bottom line and only for myself- depending on the toy, it is simply more sanitary if the toy goes with the sub. I do not hard limit any and all toys that don't live in my own toybag, but some things are quite hard to clean and I prefer to have my own available for the D to use.
This is what I get for having a degree in biology, lol.

I have my own toy bag with a small collection of toys I've gotten here and there as able. The top is always free to use whatever s/he wants on me from it or use only what is in it or use only theirs or a combo from both.

I see nothing whatsoever indicating topping from the bottom in a submissive/slave/bottom/masochist having their own toys and in fact think it is a good thing and a smart thing to have.

I hold the toys amd Master has bought anything insertable new. He agrees that anything that is to be put nto the subs body should be for that sub alone. I heard sharing toys is not safe and it is somehing i would not be comfortable doing . Actually most of my toys are new i had a few when i met Master we expanded the collection. iI is eaiser for both of us that i hold the toys.

I had the restraint gear along with the toys. He had nothing when he came to Me. As our relationship grows so does our toy collection. Most of the items are used only on him. I have My rabbit and hitachi when needed. Other new items are available for friends. Sometimes we have use nothing but our imagination.

Well, when I met JR it was my first experience of real life bdsm, so I hadn't really any toys. He, on the other hand, has been at it for a long time and has a well equipped 'dungeon' or playroom at his place with pretty much everything he might need. Toys, restraints, furniture, rings in walls and ceiling etc. So I didn't take anything to the first meeting.

I've contributed a few things since then, mostly either through making toys you can't buy in the bdsm shops, or spotting a pervertible I particularly liked. And since we met he's also added several new 'proper' toys to his collection that either he or I thought we'd get enjoyment out of. The latest being a singletail flogger that just arrived with him on Saturday - can't wait to see/feel it on Weds!
