Status: offline 		I've been living out here in Thailand for 4 years now and have to say that there are very few "real" people out here in the lifestyle. I have a question tho and wonder if this is purely an "asian" phenomenon or whether this occurs elsewhere . . . thoughts and comments appreciated . . . the questions are:

When you meet and talk to a submissive for the first time . . . would you be upset if they wanted to be paid for their service????

Can a paid submissive truly enjoy submission as much as someone who does it purely for the enjoyment/need of it????

Status: offline 		How do you know how many "real" people are in the lifestyle? We don't come with a badge, or a mark of honour.

I personally wouldn't pay for a submissives services. Why would I? There are literally hundreds of submissives out there begging to be used, without pay. But then I am a woman and there are many men who are submissives.

The second question I will leave to those prosubmissives who would know much more about it than I.

Status: offline 		Frankly if someone desired to pay for my services then I'd be a fool to turn down extra income. Though I don't charge to submit to another but hey...the ones who do, then more power to them. I just don't understand why that wouldn't make a sub not real if they earn income from getting paid to submit to another?

I think it's a "you" phenomenon.  There was a brand new munch started just a few weeks ago in Bangkok.  I was even invited.  Of course, I couldn't go, so it was a courtesy invitation by an online pal, who knows if she would have invited me if she knew I'd show up.  Still, if I'm getting an invite, living in the middle of nowhere, USA, my guess is that problem you are facing is your own approach, not the lack of kinky people in frikkin Thailand of all places.

Status: offline 		someone who wants payment for being a submissive is truley not a submissive . submissiveness comes from deep within a persons being and not their bank account . a true submissive (if you check) has had a longing , a void within them that is only filled when he/she meets that Dominant that can feed that need and makes them whole . what you have encountered is a bag of whores. be carefull when you put your hand in that bag , antibiotics may follow

Status: offline 		Yes there are prosubs, just like there are prodoms and prodommes. As to whether or not they enjoy what they do, I imagine it varies from session to session, from client to client. Just like all subs don't always enjoy what they do, even if they enjoy it most of the time that doesn't mean there aren't off days.

The are professional submissives who also do this in their private life. A pro is simply that, it is her job. while she may enjoy it, there is not the connection to her clients, as there would be to her Master

A prostitute is a prostitute who may or may not enjoy sex.  Same with a submissive.  But the passing of silver does throw into question motivation.  As the saying goes, "buyer beware".

Depending on the location, there may not be any willing subs. Hence the market for them.

An "Asian" phenomenon? Asia covers a lot of ground (both physically and figuratively). You'd find a metric fuckton of kinksters in Japan.

With so many submissives calling what they offer a 'gift', (yet fail to see that a dominants' guidance, wisdom, and such are also gifts.), this type of thing doesn't surprise me. I have always determined, based upon what countless many submissives have told me, not only in our conversations, but on gazillions of profiles, that it is in serving that they receive their deepest gratification and joy, and fulfills their 'need' to serve...so what is this about paying them? In all of my years of domination, I have never met a submissive who has asked for payment.

As for the pro-dommes who charge a fee, I don't feel this to be wrong. If one looks at the cost of equipment, fetish wear, time, expertise, etc., it would seem only right that the one seeking gratification from session play should help to pay the expenses involved. Although I am not a prodomme, I do expect those who seek ownership from me to pay their own way, as I am not about to support any male. I

In many cases, the male dominant/female submissive dynamics are different as it is generally the male dominant who supports the financial needs of the female submissive should it become a 24/7 TPE relationship, and thus, there are female submissives who place their finances in the hands of their owner as well.

So some women who might enjoy being submissives but don't want to do it for free are whores? Hmmm, so anybody who likes what they do but turned it into a job is a whore? No musician, graphic artist should ever dare to charge, we should all get what we want without paying, right....
