As far as being called 'love', I believe that that is a colloquialism used in parts of the UK, kinda like here in the US there are regions where the cashier at the local grocery store (or anywhere else) may say something like "here's your change, hon".
Seriously, when was the last time you went to your therapist? I think you're overdue.... and for the love of god, will you PLEASE talk to the therapist about this obsession of yours?
