I know, it's late, but I'm just getting around now to booking my trip to Folsom this year. Before i lock in the reservations, I thought I'd ask you people just how much activity there is in the week prior to the event. Should I book the whole week in San Francisco, or is it more of a weekend thing? I've never been to Folsom before, and I want to make sure i get the most out of it. And oddly enough, it occurred to me that perhaps a few of the posters here just may - possibly - have been to one or two of them in the past. I know, a shot in the dark, but it never hurts to ask.
