Once upon a time there was a loyal devoted slave and a proud Mistress . Verily did the slave devote himself to Mistress, never was a task too much for him. But the proud Mistress never smiled upon him and did take him muchly for granted. Day after day the slave bore such pain quietly but then came the day when Mistress did hurt him too much and in the market slave talked of his woes and pain. When the proud Mistress heard of his disloyalty in a rage she banished him from her Queendom. Slave was glad to be free again and drank and sang as he had before. But as time passed he grew to miss his proud Mistress and her haughty ways. He sent missives beseeching her forgiveness..... But answer came there none. Then one day slave did hear his once proud Mistress had fallen on hard times . All her best slaves had succumbed to her wrath. Now only lazy, indulgent slaves remained, slaves who cared not for her, cared only for there own selfish wants. Even her chariot that once she drove so grandly had she sold for bread and rent. Now by bicycle and foot she made her weary way. Slave felt greatly guilty for he knew she missed his service and devotion. For even with his limited riches he would never have let Mistress lose her beloved chariot. Again he sent a missive and appealed to return.... He begged and beseeched, but her pride was just too great ....and answer came there none. Oh Mistresses and Dominas heed the moral of this tale.... A little humility can save much indignity. A grateful smile can be payment greater than gold . For so true is the wisdom ..... Pride comes before a fall.
