What is the dumbest thing you have gotten in your email box here?

Many were covered in the post by yourMissTress. I think those are the standards for the clueless.

A recent contact I had was a local man.
Originally his profile listed him as a bisexual submissive.
Later that day, he was changed to a "straight" submissive. (Hmmm, I wonder why?)
The next morning he was a Hetero Dom.
That evening he was a switch.
The next day he was gone.
He was back as a Female switch, with a teeny variation to the name, but with the same e-mail sent.
And then he was gone.
He's back again, making contact again (of course as if it's the first time), as a Hetero Male Switch.

I did respond to him though, and suggested he get comfortable, and know himself, before he can share with others. I figure he's either totally confused, clueless, or playing games. Or...all of the above!

I love some of the other "stupid e-mails"...it would make a good skit on SNL, or a fun book. A good thread for how NOT to contact someone too.

Thanks for the laughs. [:D]
K

It may be the fact that I'm still fairly new here, but I always try to be polite in my responses. Rudeness this girl feels is never justified. But as I said, I'm new here. Maybe in time I'll feel differently.

Some people just earn it. My little ones profile plainly says she belongs to somoene but they still toss the one liners "so, do you play alone"

Even better, a domly type (and that was actually questinable) she was friendly with before has been rather rude since her and I have become entangled. One night he contacts her on IM and we get the following

idiot: turn on your cam and get naked
my little one: do you not remember I have an owner now? I wouldn't do it before I am certaintly not doing it now
idiot: is he there?
my lilttle one: not right now
idiot: then it doesnt' matter, get naked
my little one: bye bye

oh wait you've sudenly convinced me to change my mind and grovel at your feet

sometimes you just want to look in there ear and ask, is there a brain in there?

K

You mean that letting a woman know that you jerk off to her picture isn't going to generate a positve response??

Well I'll be damned...

It makes you wonder exactly what these people actually think when they send emails like that. Maybe they actually get off on just being rude and stupid. I can't imagine the thought process behind such replies.

jimej6 -> RE: Stupid emails (2/18/2006 2:55:21 PM)

Ok.. Every one needs to vent and laugh to keep anger in control and annoyances down but lets turn this in to a positive post string, most people understand (or should) what is rude and what is manners in normal conversation. Conversational techniques are learned behavior and I propose at least some people are not trying to be rude or off putting but are just ignorant as to how to catch someone’s attention in an online setting. After all, in theory, we are here to share a common interest and in most cases we are isolated around the world so there is a limited ability to experience communication on this level in this type of group before experiencing it or coming here. Lets face it every one is different and communication is different in every situation. Most things mentioned here seem to be common since but it's really not we are not born with the ability to communicate properly to everyone or anyone. So basically what I'm saying is; what do you want to hear? I myself have sent emails saying things like “Check me out and get back to Me.” or even based off of profiles here trying to “entice” others to contact me my demonstrating dominance or submission. At first glance it would seem appropriate until you get into the posts and start reading what people say they want. Or more commonly what they don’t want. Then there is the problem with professionals encouraging any type of communication not caring what they are told since their goal is money and if we wanted a professional we could look in the yellow pages. Now I’ll start. What I am first contacted I prefer a rudimentary explanation of what the contactor wants. BD/SM what roles they want played what roles they want me to play and If there looking for a role or a life change or style. My big thing is honesty, I prefer not to be courted with flowery, elegant initiations of conversations right from the beginning because it is impossible to maintain and sets up an unreal expectation. Your turn what do you want to hear? RP

It will change in time. I always try to be polite too, but sometimes you just got to put them in their place.

I don't know if it's the funniest but I do love the ones that say they will be in my area on a certain date and would love to meet me. Where in my profile does it say I take drop ins???? [&:]

Maybe not. Sometimes Europe has more reasonable fares and of course there's always price.com

My own surprise eMail came before I was on CM, but I had specified in my profile that I liked classic looks and behavior and loved intelligence. I got a response that, complete with spelling and grammatical errors, said something like, "bangin blak lether bich wans u 2 ried her harley."

I wasn't sure if I should be using an English or German dictionary and I thought it telling that the only word she spelled correctly was 'Harley'. Oh well, maybe she sucked at other things than grammar.

What do I want to hear? Okay...
Right now My profile clearly states I am not seeking anything or anyone. I am listed for "friends only...
That hasn't stopped the stupid emails.
I get emails almost every day complimenting Me on what an impressive profile I have. Huh?
When I had a full profile up I was quite detailed in how to address Me, what I was seeking, My likes and dislikes, what I would reply to, what I wouldn't reply to, what areas to cover in their letter of introduction, et al.
That didn't stop the stupid emails.
I also stated I was not interested in dealing with a Switch as I was only seeking a slave boy.
That didn't stop the stupid emails from Switches.
And I do often get emails from boys who say" Check me out and get back to me". Usually opening with "Hey!"
Those emails never get a reply.
And there have been threads on how to approach a Domina, and even what Dominas like to see when they open the email. The boys are advised over and over in these posts to make themselves stand out, via profiles and letters. But most of them never read these boards.
*Shrugs*
We will never stop the stupid emails.
So why not take a lighthearted approach toward sharing the most common errors? Maybe a few people are lurking and will figure it out!
YMMV

SirKenin -> RE: Stupid emails (2/19/2006 11:20:40 AM)

Funny, I actually do not get the funny ones. I get sincere ladies who like My profile. I really enjoy reading them and responding to them. They turn out to be very nice people.

FelinePersuasion -> RE: Stupid emails (2/19/2006 1:00:51 PM)

It is close to the UK when the email you get is a form mail mass sent to many girls lol.

Hi I'm a Dom in the UK... Would like to chat and get to know you.. looking for a 24/7 submissive... I like your profile... you're a nice looking slut... you live close enough.. (North Carolina is actually close to the UK?)

FelinePersuasion -> RE: Stupid emails (2/19/2006 1:15:50 PM)

One time someone in mexico said they loved my profile and would relocate complete with chat speak I clearly say in profile to be smart enough to not use. Since I was feeling froggy I emailed back and said you obviously don't know how to listen I said local only and he replies with oh I don't care, distance is nothing I will relocate. I just usualy block the idiots right off.

I also got another email froma guy who'd been rejected by me befor saying nice kitty do you play? I didn't bother answering I just hit block and delete.

Aileen68 -> RE: Stupid emails (2/19/2006 1:20:35 PM)

I get a couple a week asking if I want to be bred.
I find that to be really bizarre. Do people actually answer yes to that?
I shudder to think of the gene pool that those combos would make.

skittles47 -> RE: Stupid emails (2/19/2006 1:28:43 PM)

I can think of two right away. One the Dom told me on the first meeting that he would expect me to move in right away, give him all my money and it had better be at least $750 a month, and I would give him sex or blow job when ever he wanted it. If my parents were visiting and he got up and grabbed my hand to take me to the kitchen to please him then I was to go without comment and please him. When I told him I didnt get $750 a month he said i would have to be a domestic slave. I emailed him back and said let me see if I understand you correctly. You want me to be your housekeeper and a free whore, plus I am supposed to pay you to get to do it? Do I have that right? Let me think on it for a bit..... ummmm NO
He still emails me.

The other one was just the other night Said he was a serious Dom wanting only serious subs. There are too many fakes and wannabes. He told me to give him my yahoo or msn ID Well I am sorry to say I did and the second he messaged me he told me he wanted my phone number. I told him no I only give my phone number to friends. I was told I was no different from the rest i was nothing but a wannabe and I needed to get my sh*t together.
I am still trying to figure that last comment out.

LOL no worries skittles...I get that daily...

"if you refuse to give me your phone number and address right away, then you are a fake"
"if you refuse to send me naked pictures right away , you are a fake"
"if you question me asking these of you, not only are you a fake but also a scammer"

It never fails to amuse me.
