AncientFuture -> What should it have? (7/20/2009 10:26:44 PM)

If you were going to a BDSM retreat in Mexico, What do you think such a place should have? What elements and what services? How much do you think is reasonable to pay for such a thing? Would you go and if so for how long?

ThatDamnedPanda -> RE: What should it have? (7/20/2009 10:44:10 PM)

What's your concept? How large a facility are you thinking of? Bed and breakfast, full scale resort, cottages with a main lodge? How much property surrounding the buildings? Have you thought very much about that aspect of it yet, or are you still in the most basic preliminary stages?

crouchingtigress -> RE: What should it have? (7/20/2009 11:25:13 PM)

I want a hot tub and a pool, plus a play space, and points in the rooms.

I would like really good organic food, and great service people all in collars that have the name of the hotel stamped metal tag and some sort of sexy uniform

I want a chill out room that could be an orgy room if need be

I would like safe sex things in every room, condoms, gloves, lube and saniwipes maybe calvacide depending on the furniture of the room

I would want to have a rule that blood play could not be done in the rooms but there would be a medical room that could be sanitised easily.

I think a sling in the rooms would be awesome. Maybe a spanking bench too.

And because I really want one for myself...I would want a bidet in the bathrooms....

Hope that helps...

A garden with a hot tub. For meditation and relaxing.
A dungeon type facility for play.
A balance of D/s residents at any one time.
A 'singles' bar. A couples bar for the tied, monogamous longevity crew.
Masseurs.
Acupuncture?
Simple allergy aware food.
A forum type meeting in the evening with residents who set the agenda. A facilitator to help to facilitate this.
Translators (Spanish?).
Discretion and confidentiality of course.
A resident writer???

A community type of play room with multiple stations.

Obviously in every room, beds that are tie-able.

Implements and toys for rent (note - NOTHING like bullwhips that could cause damage if used improperly).

Demos/workshops at different levels, advertised to a clientele (it would be a blast taking a workshop at a Mexican retreat, and I could see building up a vacation around one).

Missokyst -> RE: What should it have? (7/21/2009 6:11:28 AM)

In Mexico?
Holy crap.. I would want to have the police in my pocket.  I would want to be well out of anyones reach.  I would want my own medical facility on the premises.
Kyst

private security and bottled water.

Tacos, tequilla and weed

crouchingtigress -> RE: What should it have? (7/21/2009 10:07:41 AM)

I need to ad that mexico holds no interest for me, because of the political unrest, kidnapping americans and the poverty.,...so no matter how awesome, I would not come. (even with a biday)[;)]

ExKat -> RE: What should it have? (7/21/2009 10:59:43 AM)

A private beach.
Fairly close to civilization
A trained, first-class medical staff on site 24-7 (so one wouldn't need to go to a Mexican hospital with an embarrassing injury)
Normal-type hotel rooms. And Dungeons. I want a dungeon, but I don't want one all the time.
Maybe specific weekends for specific hardcore kinks and softcore kinks. That way light bondagers wouldn't be frightened.
Bathrooms rigged out so that messy play could be done in there (drains in the floor so you just hose them off with hot hot water and cleaner when folks leave)
A shop where you sell things that might be needed, as well as the rentals (snorkels, kayaks, floggers)
All-inclusive yet attainably priced
Good sound-proofing (not everyone is a voyeur)
Either a hotel set-up or small, stand-alone cabins

Heh...about a 100 miles south of Oxford, NJ......at the Jersey Shore

DreamyLadySnow -> RE: What should it have? (7/21/2009 4:59:26 PM)

Ditto what Missokyst said...Mexico is not a 'kink-friendly' country and you can spend a lot of time in a downright nasty jail for something no one would even blink at in the US or Canada.

ICEMAN55 -> RE: What should it have? (7/21/2009 5:16:55 PM)

Well, If it truly is a BDSM retreat it definitely should a full Dungeon!

If you were going to a BDSM retreat in Mexico, What do you think such a place should have? People that speak English.  What elements and what services? A hot bath, and a tremendous supply of very large breasted wimmens. How much do you think is reasonable to pay for such a thing? 20 Pesos.

Never in a million years. I can go to safe legal BDSM retreats in Europe, why risk my life?

Yeah, I was thinking it should have an armed bodyguard.

I had a client that was nearly kidnapped. A friend that got shook down by the cops every single day he was there (staying at the W in Mexico City)

Unless it was Cancun, Cozumel, or Los Cabos....I wouldn't go right now.  It's half way through July and Tijuana has had 845 murders so far. Some of which were American tourists.
