i'm so EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its on yahoo. And i have a million men who seem to like to drive me bonkers by IMing me over and over and over and over and then buzzing me. AND even tho i click "ignore" some of them STILL find away to get through it, i know their IMs still pop up. i dunno, but it seems a common occurance. As they all seem to IM me like crazy and tho i ignore it, it still annoys me. The rudeness.. the buzzing.. the over and over and over IMing. BUT i found out JUST now how to stop it. i had a rather disturbing IM today, some one from the middle east IMing me out the blue (once again) and telling me that "Iran is coming soon" So even though its prolly nothing i thought well it wouldnt hurt to notify some one. And in the process of searching...i found yahoo has... a "report harrasment" Woot Woot!!!! And i tell ya, it WORKS! So far 4 of the regular annoyances have popped up to start their "IMing" session and i after the 5th line of IM, i notified them that i was reporting them. Wala! IMs stopped. Telling them that they would be reported, seems to have a big impact. ITS A MIRACLE!

Yeh i wrote to yahoo to complain too about that. i also made a little program that did auto reporting it got so bad! LOL It would automatically fill out all the blanks because i figured the only way they will ever know is if all that crap was reported and i certainly was not going to spend the 5 minutes it took to fill each one out. so i just sat back and in less than a minute it would fill out and send in 10 reports if thats how much spam i had that day. The reason that these people would continually sneak thru is that yahoo only allowed for 50 total ignore's if you will. So if you have their max of 6 nicks like a lot of people do you would get less than 10 ignores per nick! One of my biggest complaints to them. They also have a spam reporting function now which i must say is working very well too. most of them i report once and they are history. i dont know the limitations of their ignore cache now but it obviously is not high enough for your needs. still i think yahoo to be the best overall messenger service tho.

Well i only have two nicks that i use. One is to play spades that i use randomly to go into chat rooms.. keeps the traffic slow on my regular one. LOL i dont NEED 6 nicks!! LOL why do you? but i suppose thats the problem. Spam is really easy to report. But for the harrasment other then the ignore button featured and the one in my head i didnt realise i could actually REPORT it. LOL i'd ask for the program, but i dont go into chats enough to get the spam and i dont think i have TOO many regular annoyers. But new ones pop up all the time. LOL and i'm not THAT good. Cos he IMed back abit later.. How is it that I have 150 people on My list and I have not found the need for a report feature once? (MSN does not have one). Block works just fine. Jeez.

Jeez. yahoo is set up differently than msn and is more geared toward people meeting each other so you get a lot more of that. considering all the diversity on there they are really doing a good job with it.

LOLOLOL oh i should add to that: the worst people i ever met was on alt, b.com and here, mixed, and for some strange reason the best people i have met have been on yahoo. which even to me seems a bit strange because there is just soooo much spam on it, or at least there was before they cleaned it up. the woman i am flying in next month is from yahoo. i hope it all works out for us that would be way kool. :)
