Somebody kicked my door in and stole all of my music and recording equipment. Has anybody ever caught thieves in the act? Personally, I would probably kill the mother fuckers, not in a fit of anger, but a slow, torturous, painful death.

I hate Thieves...I have had more than a few things stolen from me over the years but I only caught one in the act.

I once glanced out the window one evening and caught a glimpse of someone by my car. I eased out the back door and sure enough a guy was trying to open the door with a window hook.

He heard me coming and took off running… I chased him up the street and tackled him driving his face into the pavement. It broke his nose and took a good portion of skin too.

He was a kid…17 years old and lived a block over from me. I marched him home and made him tell his dad what he did… as blood dripped on his parents floor.

The dad offered to pay for any damage to my car and said he would discipline his kid. I did not go to the police because I think the dad meant it and it cost him a pretty penny at the hospital to get the nose fixed.

It sure felt good though

Butch

Never caught a thief, but I did catch some vandals. I was with a friend driving down the road late one night, and these little shits were shooting a pistol they stole out the window at storefronts closed up for the night. Well, one of the rounds hit my friend's fender. We called the cops and followed them. Five of the little bastards were in the car; they were between the ages of 13-16. They are lucky they didn't kill someone. We both had to go fill out police reports and testify at the juvenille hearing. They all got a year of probation for theft of a firearm, discharging a firearm from a moving vehicle, criminal mischief, and the driver got operating a vehicle in an unsafe manner.

Yes. After a fire in a building I was living in, many years ago, I caught a guy carrying my sterio equipment out of the apartment. He claimed he was carrying it off to a safe place. . That was the end of my being neighborly towards him.

It's not so much the losing of material things, they can be replaced, but it is more the act of intrusion itself. Had some windows broken a few months ago as well. Knowing the damage was directed at me was more upsetting than the damage itself. The chickenshit people that do these kinds of things, verbal and vandalous attacks on somebody because they are mentally incompetant to confront their issues face to face in person are even lower life forms than the thieves.

Yeah...twice.

First..stealing cds from my home. I told him to take them but if he really wanted them all he had to do was ask and I could have burned him copies.

Second..stealing money from my wallet. I asked her how much she needed...again, all she had to do was ask me. If she needed it that much I would have probably helped her out as long as it wasn't for drugs or alcohol. I gave her what was in my wallet (which wasn't much) and showed her the door.

Neither one stayed friends from that point on.

And I thought this was going to be a thread about the government, any government, those that rob , promise and rarely ever give in full, with no strings attached.
