I agree about the wrongness of the act and the irresponsibility for a couple hours of passion and hanky panky.

The Issue is would I tell someone again. Not with what it caused. Telling the Truth made me a Lair and some people still believe that to this day because they never found out about what really went down.

So I'll drop Hints and and plant the seed of knowledge and let it go where THEY want it to go.

If they WANT to be oblivious who am I take that away?

I most certainly would like to know so that their journey to the curb could begin quick and in a hurry.  My one hard-fast rule is that if you are going to cheat, you had better at least give me the dignity of breaking up first before you follow through with it because I dont put up with cheating at all.  To me, it makes no difference if its a one-night stand or an ongoing deception.  If someone feels that satisfying their itch is more important than honoring the relationship we have, then there is no point in being in a relationship with them any further.

Yeah not really BDSM but relationship stuff so this is the best place.

If your partner of a long time was cheating on you would you want to know? And if so (aside from your partner) who would you want to tell you/how

Of couse, and then in about 10 seconds it would not be anything other than history. My private life is my own. I feel no need to blab it to anyone

I have to say it depends on the situation and the specifics (disfunctionalities) of the relationship.
EX: an older friend of mine has been married for years...teenage son...good life etc except...they haven't been intimate in years. He is a very sexual person and I know that he steps out of the relationship.  From my understanding he has tried to seduce her numerous times and he gets the same reaction which is being shut down.
Would I tell her? no. why?? he has needs (we all have needs) that he's tried to have met at home that aren't. He fills that (selfish) need elsewhere and goes home in time for supper with beautiful flower arrangements, alongside a spa treatment for the lady and her friends. That's just where they are.  He, myself or any other friends he has telling her will only make things worse.

If i were in this situation...I would have to know that he's getting his jollies off somewhere else....dont think I'd really care to know.

So many different reasons why someone would cheat...they are not all bad and sometimes the cheater is driven to it by their own partner so how quilty are they then?...if someone is witholding intimacy from another while they are supposed to be eachothers exclusive partners they're dumb and mean and chances are that the other one will go looking for it elsewhere, and rightly so in my opinion as we live only once and i certainly would not want to shrivel up like a sad old prune before my time.

Eventhough i would never ask out right...i would want to know... i would be hurt but it would turn me on too... it would not be a 'deal' breaker.
If i were the one cheating i would never tell...mine is like Steel
if asked straight out i would probably come clean and beg for forgiveness.

Anybody else telling me would only embarrass me and i would not appreciate it at all.

I don't know if I wanted to know

what you don't know..doesn't excist....on the other hand....I would respect it when told..even when it hurts..
