ORIGINAL: CatdeMedici I currently get My movies from netflix (which is a great deal btw) which allows unlimited "pc movies"---I'd like to be able to connect the laptop to the tv, its a few flat screen, anyone done this? Know how? The easiest thing in the world, actually. If your TV is a flat screen, as long as you have a common connector type between your PC and your TV, just get the cable that matches, and viola, your TV becomes a monitor for your PC. Get a wireless mouse and keyboard (with some range, preferably), and away you go. Most modern TV's have a VGA input, or a HDMI, DVI or even SVideo. If you have a TV with a VGA connection, most PCs (all, I think) should just need a cable. Many later PC's have a HDMI or DVI video connection, which later TV's also likely have. In some cases - especially laptops - you might have an Svideo output. For the audio, you can run external speakers from your PC, or if you have audio input on your TV, run audio cables from your PC to your TV. Just make sure to get the right type of connectors on either side of the cable. Firm
