I think financial domination has gotten a bad rep over the years. It's not only 19 year old girls who realize horny 50 year old men will shell out big bucks for used panties and insults. Let it suffice to say, I'm not into that.

Financial domination also includes a dominant taking control of the finances of the submissive. S-type works, all the money goes to the dominant, they live happily together with the dominant making the fiscal actions. This extra level to submission can be very rewarding.

I identify with the OP... I'm also 23 and off put by the idea of "Give my money, Cash Pig!" As I see it, you're wealthy enough to afford buying Miss stuff/giving her straight cash OR you're poor enough to not be able to afford it. If one has to sacrifice anything else in their life to dote upon their mistress, my opinion is that they're too poor to be doing it. By this, I don't see the allure from the bottom. Either the bottom shouldn't, or it doesn't matter if they do. "Different strokes" is sufficient for me.

Proper financial domination, the sort Hagia describes, I can get behind. (Though personally, I feel it's essential to slavery that the slave always be able [including having the funds] to leave).

Separate Bubble-Gum flavored girls who figured out credit cards can be swiped online from a woman who is willing to make you her cared for pet. My opinion on when to submit, financially: After you're married. Money is too important (to me) in this world to be treated recklessly.

I really enjoyed Heavenskeeper's take on it. You definitely hit on everything and put forth your ideas in a very clear, concise manner. Thank you very much for your input, as well as deep respect towards my ignorance on the matter.

Just some food for thought Shivawn...

These things are not always as mysterious as they may seem or even as, in some cases, the original posters make them appear. Condsider that in a community of extremists there are social pressures to make things larger than life.

Take Carol & I. I could easily say that I control all the money and she has no posessions yada yada. All of that'd be totally true. Of course, the other little tidbit is that we're married and have been a couple for just short of 15 years now. Suddenly instead of being all "oooh out there master slavey" it's just a married couple where the guy runs the books. No matter what I might say, she isn't destitute and the truth of the situation is that at least where we live, it's a community property state.

Be careful not to read deep dark motives into something which might simply be a couple playing up to a kink.

Financial control doesn't have to mean giving every last cent you have to your Dom/Domme. For our first year together my money was kept in a credit union way across town which was too far to walk to. Lady kept my bank card in her safe so I couldn't use it at closer banks. With no access to male clothing I'm not going to go all the way across town to my bank to get any money. Lady doesn't know the pin number for the card so she can't get the money out either. It was a backup for me in case something ever happened to her as I am kept quite dependent on her. After Master joined the family, I now have two dommes so if anything happened to one I still have the other. I have since taken the money out and gave it to them as a dowry.

I've been battling myself on the idea of 'financial dominating' for a long time now. I have problems not only seing the merit in it, but also seeing the point of it.

There's a sucker born every minute. That's the point.

But does not domination in the case of Financial domination also include other levels that really don't seem out of place..
For example, going out ot dinner  where the sub pays
Going shopping , where the sub pays
Going out on a date ofsome type and the sub pays
Going on vacations where the sub pays

Even if  for example a Mistress does not demand a sub to do  all of this , many males are brought up to think it is natural to pay for these activities. I am just suggesting that it is not  much of stretch to introduce a more extreme form of domination if there is already some form in place already.

If your not into it, then find a female domme that does not require it. Very simple actually. I am not into scat play. When I meet someone who is into that, then I move on and I don't play with that person. The next sub to come along may be into it and that is great.

You don't have to see the merit in something for someone else to enjoy it. Just find someone you are compatible with and be happy. Quit worrying about what the sub down the street is doing.

YEP!!! Seems most things in life would work better if people could just go - hey - i don't know why they like what they like or do what they do - but oh well - as long as no one is forcing me to do it, who cares. (walking away shaking her head).
