Does anyone have experience using the Pet Gear portable metal cages? The large one is just big enough for me, but I'm wondering how I would do if I was confined in it for awhile.

They get very small, very quickly, especially if you can't stretch out your legs or your back/neck.

How was the construction? Did it seem sturdy? Have you actually used this cage?

Several. Some of the folding ones can be a bit cheap (our dog could get out of one of them by folding the front in) and like anything there are cheap versions that you could just bust out of. One of them though, that we found on craigs list, is actually quite heavy duty, and I know there's little hope of anything escaping that fits in it. How ever, it, like every other pet cage I've seen, needed a little modification to be "human proof". If the cage breaks down (most do in some way, using drop pins or they fold) you can make it secure by installing "U" bolts and tightening them beyond hand tight, or use a bunch of small padlocks to make it impossible for you to escape by means other than the door.

Thanks for the inputs.
