Rain, the most frequent cause that I'm seeing in my research is lymph nodes being blocked, so you may be right. Now, to find a node rubbing volunteer... [:D] Cat, I do try to keep things clean and dry, as well as trimmed there, but I shall make sure of it from now on. Thanks :) impish (nice hairdo, by the way!), I'll make sure this doesn't drag on. As much as I hate doctor visits, if they don't go away, then I'll get some help. Just thinking, I've had a number of.... things like this the last few months. I had the little pimple things in my nose, had one on the back of my noggin, and now these. Maybe I am in a major detox mode....

Level, considering all you've been through in the last year or so, I would not be surprised at all if this is your body going "Alrighty then!!! Fuck you very much, I'm getting rid of the garbage and it's going out NOW!" All the stress and aggravation you've gone through, now you're finally in your home so your body has decided this is a good time to detox and say "Adios" to the crap. I'm sure you know all the "blah, blah, blah" facts; drink plenty of fluids, eat heathy food with lots of fibre, take your supplements, get lots of good sleep and let your body heal itself. Not to mention seeing the doctor if necessary, for antibiotics or a referral to a good massage therapist that does lymphatic draining massages. That massage sounds so good right now - I wish I could get one.... [:o]

Sounds like lymph nodes. Get to a doctor. Could be a slight infection if you've been fighting off a cold, could also be mononucleosis, Epsten-Barr, or a bunch of other equally unpleasant long term viral infections.

Maybe excess sperm backing up causes goofyitis? [X(] Thanks for the input, Celeste (and Raymond [:D] ); I tried massaging the area myself, and saw some relief, but it's about back to how it was this morning. I've been seeing an oncologist for over a year now, they are just keeping an eye on my red blood platelets, count was a little low, could that also come into play?

Don't know about your red blood cell count, I'm wondering if your white blood cell count is high.

Celeste, it wasn't (nor has it been), last test was on 6/9/09, WBC was 4.5 - range for that lab runs from 3.8 to 10.8.

Hi Level, I had something similar, and it was caused by an excess of caffeine. My doctor told me to take Vitamin E capsules, and it went away within a few days! So I cut down on the caffeine, but if I start to get little twinges of that familiar ache, I take Vitamin E. I would still recommend going to the doctor, per everyone else's advice here. Can't be too careful with lumps... Best of luck to you! [:)]

Hey there bama :) Thank you. Hmm, it probably isn't caffeine for me, I avoid the stuff pretty strictly, but I wonder if I'm deficient in Vitamin E?

My nodes, or whatever they are, are not as swollen this morn, so maybe by tomorrow all will be normal, but the damn things still hurt. puts holly and pure on The List
