Yay! on the BP & cholesterol Cat! MoGa, I do hope you will be right as rain soon. I do hate to hear that you are having so much pain. You should be inflicting it, not enduring it. Seems like it's been a rough summer for lots of people. Here's to hoping we all get what we need this fall. Personally, I'm finally out of my funk. Considering the fact that I'm 47, have been having irregular, unpredictable, painful menstrual periods and night sweats... I'm really starting to think my general mood swings and over blown depression over West leaving was a simple case of bad timing on his part and hormones on mine. What ever it was... the worst is over. My never ending car troubles may be finally resolving. My mechanic FINALLY seems to have figured out the problems with my Buick and I might actually get it moving again. The transmission fell out of hubby's Chevy so we gave up and bought a 2002 Saturn. It's a very pretty, sporty little thing. As soon as I get my Buick back, I'll see about getting my Van fixed and THEN do the transmission on the Chevy so our 18 year old will finally have a car to drive. My new sub is working out quite well. He has this really odd problem with constantly thinking that I will not want him to return. Poor dear doesn't know how stubborn I am. But that's ok. I'm just very used to West who was a blank slate. This one is experienced and both of us are still feeling each other out. There was another in the wings, but I'm not sure I want to complicate the new dynamic by moving in another one before this one is comfortably established.

Checking in—one week post-hardware removal from the seriously broken leg I suffered on April 20—I'm not only walking well, but a few days post LOH (loss of hardware) I have found my energy beginning to return. Rather enjoying walking from a shaded parking spot to the store or bank or whatever errand I'm running. Got the 3-inch screws that spent April 21 to July 23 holding my tibia and fibula in position—they let me choose to keep the hardware; I'm having them made into a pair of earrings for kinky parties to wear with my corset. Was mobile enough, barely, to enjoy my sub_ed's June visit despite the tumble; my local sub has ensured that I wasn't bored during recovery. And I have a possible domestic sub in the early stages of our dance; we'll see where that goes.

giggle And I thought I was the only one who asked for 'medical waste'. (FYI - Always ask if the scissors, tweezers or other equipment used on you is going in the trash. If so, you can take them. After all, you paid for them and they look good on the tray.)

Lordy..its August already ! I'm still saying yes to the universe. Still banning toxic people from my life. Puttering amoung my flora and fauna, in my kitchen and sewing room. Creativity is therapeutic.

Well, I'm still kickin'. No one has managed to kill me yet. Guess this ol' katt is still too wily for them. ;) Pet is still in canada... STILL! Looking at probably October... I very much dislike this. Very very very much. Sort of broke up with B. Technically we're no longer together, but, he still comes out to visit often, and we're obviously still very close friends. That, I don't think, will ever change. He's currently off in Albequerqe or however the hell it's spelled, then going to come back, get some of his things, head to OKC to go to college. Part of the reason we broke off actually. Him being here, and having to deal with such a complex relationship at his youthful age was harming his schooling, and, I said right off the bat that, if I EVER thought that it would be for the best, or that I was hurting his future in any way, I would end it. Thankfully we sat down and discussed it and he knew it was for the best too. There's better for him out there in a romantic way anyway, than I. However, he might or might not be in school much longer, may go back later, may transfer here. He was offered, at 19 mind you, a job here as network admin for a company. Yeah, the kid's that good. As always, I'm very proud of him. M. FINALLY got his damned social security back pay that he'd been waiting on for a year. So that was handy. Took care of a few needs around the house, and even a couple wants. Got the car some needed TLC. Things are smooth at the moment in that aspect. We're doing some work for a local thrift store here that all the proceeds go toward the Utah Aids Coalition. Just some volunteer stuff, working on their computer and network system, and giving them someone who can do computer recycling for them. They get old, defunct machines in, we take them, salvage them out and put together working machines. Not GREAT machines, but, a lot better than the computers a lot of people don't even have. Down with a pulled groin muscle at the moment, fun fun. Hey, it happens sometimes. I occasionally forget I'm no longer 19 and can't bend quite like that anymore. [;)] Other than that, same shit, different day around here. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
