Wow, I cannot believe it is here, a noce slow lazy summer has now zoomed in to the dog days.

Well life for Me progresses, am in the midst of some massive oral surgery, far too long delayed due to shitty dentists, but finally found one I adore, hie middle name is NUMBZIT, lol that will take Me 8-10 weeks of escalated treatment.

The BP is normal!!!!!! Thanks to the new BP med Bystolic, no side effects and finding Me with My energy level back to what I once knew.

I'm getting the house in shape, have an intern coming for work for 11 weeks from Germany, won't be staying wth Me but as I work at home, he will be here alot--we are really looking forward to it.

The sub relationship progresses slowly, which is fine with Me, I'm still on the fence and I don't know if its him or just where I am in My life--and the fact that there isn't really room for someone full time. I wish I could answer this question once and for all and just be happy with the answer. I'm guilty of fast forward and when I fast forward, it never fits long term, I find Myself feeling as if I'm suffocating and I can't see what I call dramatic added value.

I'm happy, happier than I have ever been and I've always been pretty darn happy---and so I am an independent woman living an independent life, doing it My way everyday.

Oh boy. I haven't done a roll call in ages. Let's see..

Am still living on my own, loving my apartment. I actually have quiet neighbors and they don't mind the occasional slapping sounds coming from inside my apartment, which is a good thing

Finally managed to get most of my stuff out of storage, and my home is looking more like I live here and not just some place to store my things.

I have registered for fall classes, with a work program that I would like to get into.

My foot is healing, but slowly. Doctor now says she believes I may have some shattered bone fragments, so she has ordered an MRI for it. Still in da boot. I can't stand it, but know that it could be much worse. On the Guide Dog watch, I had to put off July class because of my foot, but am now aiming for August. Health permitting, of course.

Speaking of health, it seems I now have a tumor in my optic nerve. (Are we REALLY not given more than we can handle??)

On the sub front, nothing. But am opening my heart again to those who are petitioning me. So, we shall see. I have finally made it out to APEX a couple times. Is it wrong to be so bored at a public dungeon? The people aren't boring, but I find myself wondering why I am there and why I can't seem to have fun there.

I traveled to Florida in July for the Calibirthday. Had a wonderful time and met some really great people, that I had yet to meet. Had my former sub (pupofMoGa) come to visit me in July as well. He stayed a week and we had a great time.

Not much more to offer here. But fun to do a roll call again

An update, I just got the news, after 4 long years of fighting and working, MY BP and My cholesterol is finally normal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FR, after read thru (&, yeah, way CM junkified when I have to get on here while on vacay . . . . )

I'm good, but am still in post-Disney glow . . . . . . Had a great time yesterday, have a lot to report on when I get back & have some quality writing time . . . . .. . Am going back to the house that the mouse built on Wednesday & maybe Thurs -- we have passes, yee-haw! Spent some quality time being in touch with my inner littles yesterday . . . ..

August is shaping up as an interesting month with a lot of in-person socializing, which for me is somewhat stressful, but stress is in the handling, so . . . . . . .*shrugs* . . . . .. & I am much better at coping with life than in my past; hanging out with someone I knew at 16 is revelatory in terms of getting perspective on stuff . . . .

& looking forward to autumn, fall is my favorite time of year . . . .. ...

Happy August, everyone. Did anyone notice that I was gone for a few days? LOL.

I was. The reason for it was that it took a little while to get the phone/internet/cable set up in the new house. I miss My friends in GA, but CA is absolutely beautiful. We found a great house up in the hills of the wine country. This place is going to be fantastic to hold some small gatherings. Funny thing. There are some eyebolts and chains that hang from the lower patio. It makes Me wonder about the previous occupants.

I'm still waiting for the furniture to arrive, but once it does, the dungeon will be set up. All I have to do is meet people to beat on the West Coast!

Speaking of meeting people, this past month has been fantastic. I think I have a couple of threads in the positive experience forums about the good times I've been having and the wonderful opportunities that opened up. It's just the beginning of a whole lot of fun.

Hi.

We've been having a great summer at the Academy. We're celebrating our 5th Anniversary and our number of trainees increased tremendously for some reason so we're busy training the newbees. I was hoping to take a holiday this summer but I can't beat the fun I'm having so maybe a holiday isn't so important anyways. I love newbee slaves. More fun to boss around.

I am enjoying some time with my daughter currently. Next week, I will be at her place, attending to legal matters, not to mention getting her ready for school.

On the 25th, I have to appear before the judge for my SSI. Hopefully I will get it because my craving for cutting is getting stronger (under a lot of stress with no release). I think I just need a good flogging.

Got over 5 inches of rain today.

There is a Dom wanting to meet me, but I am waiting until after the 25th for when my mind is not so jumbled and confused about this hearing. We chatted on the phone a couple of times and find out we have the same interests.

My vacation is nearly over. I took 9 days off as a present to myself.
Early in the vacation, contact from an ex-bf had my head rather screwey; he contacted me with sounds as if to get back together, alluding to changing, etc. only to freak when offered the opportunity to talk.
Thankfully, I have super-cool friends who have managed to help me take my mind off of such things to a large degree and are simply groovy good people. Yaaaaay for wonderful people in one's life.
I still hate dating. A lot.
Working on the house and my playroom is freakin' fantastic. :>
The cats, of course, remain in charge.
I have an pic here for the first time. That's been intereting. It's been up for, oh, about 36 hours now.
Ummmmm, and am having some of my nearest and dearest over to watch "Watchmen" tomorrow.

Well, July was a bad month in general around here ... not for us, but for our friends. One friend at work had her house catch fire - house is (thankfully) still structurally sound, but it has to be gutted and everything in it was lost, then her mother died. So I've been working a lot of overtime. Another friend of ours from school might be losing her house, since she's been out of work for about 6 months now. Her boyfriend is still working at this point, but with her going to interviews all the time and not getting anywhere, they just don't have a whole lot.

For us, we have a litter of 9 bull-boxer puppies that are absolutely adorable. Mama and babies are all doing fine. Our lawn mower continues to hate us, but that's been an ongoing thing this summer. I'm going on vacation this month. I'm taking next weekend off for a family reunion, and then the next weekend starts a vacation of a whole week. I'm going up to MI for my niece's birthday. Unfortunately, I'll be going with my parents rather than with Holly and rob - they can't get time off at this point. *sigh* Oh well, at least I don't have to drive to Detroit by myself.

Hi all,

Master and i are still having a ridiculous run of bad luck. June was spent in one town while the diesel injectors on the Chev were waiting to be fixed, thought to have been fixed and then had to wait some more into July! The morning that We were finally moving on ... some bastard stole Our generator from under the van. Police were sympathetic, but no news yet despite having passed on the rego number of a prime suspect. Insurance wouldn't cover it as it wasn't inside the van (yet you can't run a generator inside!). So We had to buy another one.

As it was now too late to drive across country, We decided i should fly over and Master would wait it out further north with His family. Over the span of 300km, all the tyres on the van decided to fail, 2 burst completely, the others looked ready to. Of course We only carry 1 spare ... so that involved a lot of to-ing and fro-ing. Fortunately Master's Dad came to the rescue with some temporary spares but then to upgrade the tyre weight rating We had to go up in wheel size. At this stage We'd spent over $10k on repairs in the last 2 months and so needed an advance from my inheritance to cover the 5 tyres and 5 wheels! Was able to arrange that with my sis once I got over there on the plane, and then Master could get the tyres fitted.

Even leaving to catch the plane across country didn't go to plan, my laptop chose to die when removed from its dock ready to pack. Fortunately it's under warranty but We have to get back to the town where We bought it. (Will be there tomorrow with any decent luck!). Even more fortunately, i'd already put my presentation onto a memory stick! That PhD proposed research presentation went down really well with only some very minor additions to be made so that was great. And I enjoyed meeting people at the Uni so I know who to email for assistance in future. My blind nephew's 21st birthday party was awesome, though Master and i were sad We couldn't be there to play music for him. Met his guide dog Jet who is wonderful ... though not black as expected! She is a golden labrador sponsored by a small airline company ...

My Domme side has been talking to a sub I played with a few years ago for a while, and he was happy to arrange the hire of a Dungeon for a play session while I was there. That was MOST enjoyable, it was a very well equipped establishment run by a very friendly and down to earth Domina. Jay has been longing for some play for quite a while now and really enjoyed every moment. Looking forward to a reprise next time I'm over there!

The flights back were long and tiring, and thank goodness Master hadn't told me about the news item where a plane of the company i was travelling on had had problems! After 15 hours in the air or airports i was so grateful to be home, and crashed for a much needed nap. However, later i checked my email to find that the hire car that had been intact when i left it at the airport had sustained damage by the time the company collected it! So that was yet MORE money though i was grateful i had paid the extra to reduce the excess to $200!

Add to that, the buyer's bank stuffed up so settlement on Mum's house will be delayed by at least a week. Hopefully We will survive without any further disasters or crises till then end of this month! It's certainly been a trying "baptism" into life as a nomad! That said, We love the van, it's incredibly comfortable and easy to live in, and really felt like "home" when i got back. So despite the odd very low moment (i confess to a few tears when the second tyre went!), We are still generally upbeat and confident things will get better. Well, they already have, We did 300km yesterday without a single problem!

Congrats to Cat on her medical achievements, good luck to MoGa (I know just what You mean about how much we are given to handle!), patience to Aiden and all the best to LadyPact in Her new abode. And commiserations to SweetDommes friends, that's really tough and makes Our problems pale into (almost) insignificance!

Events and discoveries in late July knocked the wind out of Me. I'm staggering around, coughing, trying to catch My breath and get back up to full speed.

My life is a series of three steps forward and two steps back.

It would appear that August will be one of those 'two steps back' months.

August is both good and bad for me so far. I'm home recovering from some surgery that occurred on the 27th, and have another procedure on the 10th. The recovery is a bit slow, and I'm not feeling up to speed quite yet.

I have been talking with new people, and have put my bad experience in the past, where it belongs.

I'm looking forward to participating more on the boards with you all.

HUZZAH for everyone's good news! Hugs and healing beamage to all that need it!

August should be interesting. There has been something of a rift percolating in the local scene (and I mean all of SE Michigan) and I am stepping back from much of the public scene for the time being. I've been out and active in the "community" for so long, I am just wondering if it's time for us dinosaurs to just figure that we don't have a dog in this fight anymore.

Two of my friends and I are going back to hosting private parties, so we're looking forward to that. We're trying to get the right mix of people, so we don't end up with sets of couples who will ONLY play with each other!
