i'm a bit claustrophobic... not too bad... but start to panic if, say, i'm in a car where the back doors stay locked until the driver opens them and i can't get out when i want to... once when my own driver's door jammed, etc.
And i hate restrictive clothing, lol. Makes me feel like i can't breathe sometimes, even when they're not cutting off my air
Bras come off as soon as i get home!

So I've often thought i would hate most forms of bondage.
However.. i've come to love being restained at the wrists and ankles.. as long as they're not too tight. Get all dreamy and makes me feel SO submissive!
And recently was blessed to experience a rope dress for the first time.
Oh my... the feel of the rope on my bare skin... the way he dragged it across my body.
And even though a bit restrictive, particularly when trying to sit.. i loved it.
However.. i still wonder if i could deal with more extensive rope bondage.

Was wondering about how others who might be claustrophobic to some degree feel about bondage.

My Sub Kari is somewhat claustrophobic and I have to be kind of careful what I do with her, but she LOVES bondage in several forms. It helps if we can do this in a more open space than usual such as a big room or even out in the open (we do have a lot of open desert around here). Time is also a consideration so I try not to keep her bound for an extensive period. Especially if we're indoors. She says she really loves the feeling of being helpless and totally submissive when I do this. As usual, I just love doing it.

I had never been Claustrophobic... til I had like my 2nd ever M R I... OMG... I knew from then on.. I wanted to be cremated... I didn't care if I was no longer in my body at death.. the mere thought of my body being closed in a box from then on was out of the question... LOL

As far as bondage ....... so far i've not experianced any types of this was would bring that panic on with me... not to say there won't be at some time... and right now can't think of any that might... we don't own a M R I machine.. so not worried about that one... LOL

(Makes note to see if she can keep Master off this thread and getting any ideas from others posting on this subject too).... grinzzzzz

I, too, was hit by surprise by my reaction to that damned sewer pipe they pack you into for an MRI. I'd never had a touch of claustrophia and my life has included using escape trunks on Guppy class submarines and exploring Vietcong tunnels.

I don't know what bothered me more, the claustrophobia or the fact that it caught me completely off guard.

I'm claustrophobis in a serious way. Lock me in a dunny (let alone a closet) and I'll smash the door down to get out (a friend found that out at a party some time ago). try to restrain me and I'll destron the restraints and myself trying to get free. If you have seen live or on film a really angry and pissed off male Grizzly trying to escape you have some idea what I am like trying to get free. The viking beserker in me gets loose and I have no sence of reason or humanity, it's like a wild animal trying to escape. Yep claustrophobia is a horrible thing to have to deal with.

Gee You're describing me as i fought my way out of the celaphane, having woken up (yes he made me sleep that way) in an A #1 Supreme anxiety attack.

He laughed.

Ain't he a kick?

I'm thinking... well.. no I don't know about you.. but with me.. it was the being taken off guard. Because my first MRI didn't bother me. But damn that 2nd one did. Now when I have to get one.. (one every six months..... sometimes twice)... I want to absoultely cry. And if they have to do both.. one with.. and another without the contrast.. I freak out!!! Because that means longer in the damn thing.

Owned... Celephane wrap?

Heard of it.... seen it... but never known anyone to sleep in it. Didn't you notice my post up there about NOT giving Master any damn ideas... lmao

Well you handed me a treat & all, it's the least i could do.

Yes, he wrapped me in cellophane (i had to look up how to spell it). Feet to neck. i have never known anyone to sleep in it either. Except me, now. LOL. i was shocked when he said good night. He found that amusing, too. The problem is, the body can not breathe. So you sweat in it. A lot. And it is oh so very uncomfortable. i woke up in a panic. Pretty much did what Iron Bear described. Within minutes i had torn through it - poking my fingers through at first, then tearing wildly at it. i figured the most severe beating in the world would be better than this. i looked up and saw Mr. Wonderful sitting up in bed, laughing. LAUGHING! i tore completely free and he commented how clever i was...said next time he'll have to cuff me first. (yikes).

I wound two layers around a previous GF, but left it on just an hour or so, not longer. I bit holes through it for the nipples which really popped out.

As girlie said, she found it hot and sweaty, but for that hour it was really sexy.

If you wrap her in aluminium foil (alfoil here in Aussie land) after basting her with herb butter and the juice of lemon, lime and orange, the place her on the roticery of the BBQ for 4 hours over a low heat she should be ready for eating ........................................

Restrained and blindfolded, not a problem. I've even had a shibari experience. But that first time in the beauty parlour, where they put the mud packs over your eyes and then the mud mask?? Oh dear - I had quite a panicky feeling for a while, but managed to breathe my way through it.

Master recently had an MRI and they had to take Him out of the machine.....

I'm not claustrophobic at all. MRI don't bother me I just close my eyes and almost fall asleep. Even in bed I will Place pillows up and down both sides and climb in the middle of them I love to feel all closed in surrounded and snug I call it my bed coffin LOL . The more restricted I am in the safer I feel

I am a little claustrophobic, and I love bondage. My biggest problem is anything around my neck. Master has been very slow and patient with me. There have been some times in the past when he was binding me that he could see in my face an issue, even before I started to react. Only once have I panicked, and he had his arms immediately around me, whispering in my ear to calm me.

I now wear an eternity collar. Sometimes when I would wake in the middle of the night I would be fighting it and then not be able to sleep - feeling constricted. I stopped sleeping with it on, but keep my cuffs on.

Hope that helps.

I'm only clausterphobic if I can't move my arms or legs. Being in small spaces doesn't bother me one bit. Being wrapped in cellophane was certainly not pleasant for me at all! I actually managed to roll off of the bed and land on my head, which also was not a nice experience.

My former Master would start by wrapping my hands and arms (hands in a fist), and then wrap my arms to the rest of my body. There was no way i was going to be ripping that cellophane off! Just had to struggle uselessly until i was too mentally/physically exhausted to do anything but just deal with it.

I have only had one seriously claustrophobic slave. we solved the problem with ingenuity! I made a special set of cuffs for him that were fastened with thread so that he could break free at any point. He would, however, be given a discipline whipping if he did so. I also drew chalk outlines around his hands on the wall and his feet on the floor at that place and told him that he would be whipped if the outlines were smeared or blurred or if his hands or feet came away from them at any time. He had to "bond" himself! It worked very well.

OMG i am definitely going to be diverting Master's attention away from these boards....cellophaned your hands first....wowser. i would have had a heart attack, the way my heart was pounding in my throat. (although i'm not so sure the emotionally exhausting things he has done in its place were much better...lol)

i was on the floor (not generally allowed the bed) so fortunately there was no head bonking.

SEE OWNED!... now you're stearing yours away as well as to not get no damn ideas!!.... LMAO

About died laughing over microwave though....

Here.. have another treat!.. giggles

Cravin.. claustrophobic is ... as i've been told in the past.. something mental ( as my response to this is.. mental my ass!!!) But I have seen others in the past try to help slowly working out this "Kink" they have with this type of fear. I sometimes worry about those who mess where they really shouldn't. I have a fear of being submerged by other people.. not about to go and let someone dunk my ass under water just to work on this.

If the one you're with knows this fear.. and you want to work on it.. please be safe.. and secure.. and never try to push that limit too far the first time.. (seen that happen one time too many... panic begins.. they continue .. just to push it further forward.. ends up going backwards... more fear digs in deeper)

Good luck with this.. if you're working to over come this. Let us know how it goes for you too.

truesub,
thank you.
Actually, though i've been scening with several Doms for several months now, bondage is one thing i've been very reluctant to do, and none of them have pressed me on it.
I have had the wrist and ankle restraints, which i enjoy.
So far, the only other thing i've experienced in terms of bondage is a rope dress, which to me is not really bondage, cause my movements were not restricted.
but i do enjoy that, and have been curious as to whether given my tendency for panic attacks when confined inadvertently if i would enjoy more bondage...
I of course will need to discuss my concerns with this particular Dom, as he doesn't know i'm claustrophobic yet.
