Former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds dropped a bombshell on the Mike Malloy radio show, guest-hosted by Brad Friedman (audio, partial transcript).

In the interview, Sibel says that the US maintained 'intimate relations' with Bin Laden, and the Taliban, "all the way until that day of September 11."

These 'intimate relations' included using Bin Laden for 'operations' in Central Asia, including Xinjiang, China. These 'operations' involved using al Qaeda and the Taliban in the same manner "as we did during the Afghan and Soviet conflict," that is, fighting 'enemies' via proxies.

Yeah, it couldn't be that we just screwed up...everyone knows the Military-Industrial Complex rules the world with the help of puppet-states like Turkey (and their well-known pro-Islamic agenda).... Anything anywhere in the mechanations of power, control and wealth there is sculduggery, it is just those still with influence spend their time creating to cover their dealings. That is not really a bombshell.  If you check out the Texas Gov office & house guest list, you will see the Taliban and the Bin laden family ((yes he is listed) stayed there as guest of Bush when he held that off.

This was news back in the 90's, then it seems after 9/11 no one in the GOP wanted to talk about it, for that matter no one in the Dem party paid attention to it either

Well,while I agree this particular story should not be taken too seriously....you advising others on their sources  is fucking hilarious.

As far as I am aware these fellows have debated every group who 'debunked' them who was willing.  Each time the debunking was made very public and the debates were not.

There are hundreds of questions Bush left in his wake that are relevant to 9/11 and thousands during the time he was president.

I personally am not sure what to believe.

What's the big deal ? This is all old news. The fact is the US and Israel have worked to install friendly governments in any resource rich country. Some of them act up and have to be removed. It is a policy that has not been working well for about fifty years so they figur; Why stop now ?

Simple process, create a monster and a favorable trade agreement for their goodies, and if they get too big for their britches bomb their people to the stone age. The policy doesn't work all that well, but if it didn't work at all you would not be driving cars or flying on planes.

We put Osama bin Laden in power, just like Saddam Hussein, and a bunch of others. The rest are staying in line, toing the mark, playing nice. When they get uppity, as one US cabinet member put it "it doesn't matter, they need a bombing and that is what they're going to get".

Once our guy is in power, we just manipulate the election system, well the real string pullers do, just like here. Don't wonder why they don't say "Anyone can become President here" anymore. The people we really need simply never get on the ballot. The process works here, and we spread this form of "democracy" around the world like margarine. And that is a good analogy, margarine is fake, and so is the process. It is designed to look like the real thing, but it is stil what it is.

The fact is they play whatever side of the street they choose at any given time.

Truthfully, I and many others simply can't afford to care. Unsolvable problems cause stress, so just give me my money and whatever I need and I'll be fine. The capture of one Man will not solve the world's problems anymore than the revelation of more historical facts. Until we effectively pull these MF's teeth, things shall be as they are. Let me know when you are ready.

That's diplomacy - you make a deal with people who can help you at a particular time - then it changes.

The Germans waltzed into France 3 times in the space of 70 years and had a good crack at blitzing France. 10 years later they were best mates trying to run a European Customs Union.

Particularly when you're the United States and have the money at your disposal to pull a few strings here and there.

I agree with northern gent this is simply the world. Events happen and governments respond to them as they unfurl. Just because Britain and America traded with Hitler in the thirties does not make them secret conspirators behind the third reich. Likewise the taliban twenty a quater of a century ago were a valuable asset against the soviets. Now some events have happened and the situation is different.

I'm kinda guessing (well not really, was just being "polite" ... which to be fair is rare for me)..... I was fully aware of the SAUDI campaign and also ... when the retard (Bush) announced that his "culprit" would be "announced" (after the targeted demolition of two of the world trade centre buildings), that the US had picked the wrong target. The farkin US has nay farkin chance taking on a bunch of  people who have NEVER been defeated and who have had the very best the benefits of UK and US "special" relations type input for nearly TWENTY years ... before taking them on in their own back yards (bearing in mind that the retards "culprit" is ... a Saudi and NOT an Afghanistani)

I'd LOVE to have had TWENTY years to collect ALL MANNER of FREE and INCREDIBLY usefull weaponry for completely FARK ALL and stockpile the leftovers after peeling the skins off of the faces of my persecutors ... because I could ... whilst feeling NO sense of remorse due to being "WELL STONED" and "SECURING MY HOMELAND" (sound familiar ?) for my descendants. (which would be many).

That the Russians (I will NOT say Sovietski's) LOST should have been a lesson ... only a farkin retard  could ignore history and (enter the Regan/Bush era) at the same time ignore the fact that the Russian special forces had effectively LOST in Afghanistan (anyone want to say that "retreat" is a victory to REAL "special forces"). The Russians really had the only troops capable ... and they LOST.
The S.A.S. , Royal Marines and British Para's can only really train there ... each other, of course, because they don't speak the same language as the US "forces" (If the occasional "American" choses to learn ... hey ! it's all good.)

After being critical of Bush on bin Laden's capture (the cost of which would have been thousands of lives), he flip flops and downgrades its importance, and then turns around and send the troops in to a situation they have little hope of winning without massive air support that levels a few mountains.
