Cat, sometimes I seem to close threads, though I don't mean to, but nonetheless; I do understand that people go to bars, and while I don't condone drunk friving, it is an art. Some are very good at it and never get popped. I know a guy drank a fifth of run every day, and when he got stopped they didn't even ask him if he was drinking. He could literally drive even if he couldn't walk. In fact I know two people like that. They have both operated large machinery and driven some pretty big trucks. Certain things come natural to some people, but not to others. A little town called Linndale got me and they are known for that. Even in Cleveland court if they bring up anything about it you can retort "But that's Linndale". I am not kidding. And some people can really see, for miles and miles. Would you rather I drive you home drunk or blind ? It takes experience and something. One person was an OTR driver frequently charged with hauling oversize loads, like halves of prefab houses, missile parts and such. The othe was a high boom crane operator. They both had excellent eyesight. Also they could hold their liquor, so their judgement was as impaired as some migh think. These things make for a good drunk driver, and I would let them drive home from the bar almost anytime. Of course they have their limits also. But the thing is most people don't know how to drive in the first place. I let Hunter drive the jimmy, he backs out of my drive about a foot and then has to swing the wheel way over the other way to get going. I asked him "Why didn't you finish backing up ?". He had no clue. Then I told him, backup until you are straight with the road, then all you have to do is straighten out the wheel and go. I still don't think it sunk in. Some people don't learn. I also learned from my OTR buddies, anything without a valid rear view mirror, you back into a driveway, PERIOD. You simply can't see when you are trying to back out otherwise. I also learned how to play the time game with traffic lights. Actually Rif claims he could almost drive to California without touching the brakes, and I almost believe him. Wolfman simply can't get drunk. He spent years trying but I don't think he ever actually did it. I mean you could pour whiskey down this guy's throat and it just wouldn't faze him a bit. No staggering or swaggering, nothing. Like I said, the cops wouldn't even ask him if he was drinking. Why couldn't I be like that ? It would've saved me hundreds of thousands of dollars. I could ue that monet about now. Young and dumb and full of cum, that's about the way to put it. All in all I dont know whether the DUI course is there to teach you how to drink or drive. But I know this much, if I have to drive along way, like forty miles or something, one beer is plenty. Maybe not even one. Yes people I can live without beer, even without smokes or smoke. For however long it takes.
