LNN, actually the bursting was good (except for scaring the hell out of me lol), it's basically what the doctor would have had to do to relieve the pain.

ko....well....thank you...(and thank you all others who have opted to explain to me {quite helpfully} why I have an insatiable desire to call a chimney sweep company to visit me somewhat privately).

Those of you who recommended witch hazel....every fucking one of you is out of the will.

While most assuredly (that) feels better (some half hour later), be equally assured...none of you will be asked to the dance!  There is a 29 minute period wherein which every damned one of your names is on my lips (and frankly...it's not at all favorable).

I've decided that I'm going to sit in a jacuzzi tub between now and Thanksgiving....and for the record....just so you all know (learn from my experience)...if you get this thing....and you (as I did) go to a pharmacist to find out what's the best thing to do ("fiber!!!!").

Those little fiber pills that you can take to "make everything better".....

There's an extremely good reason for their recommended amounts.

Being a child of the 60's, I can now say without any debate....more is not always good.

Stay away from tub baths, hot spas, soaking in swimming pools for a time and 8 glasses of water a day is alot better then force feeding fiber tablets.

Careful with those fiber pills Lookie, they have been known to cause a bit of gas. Ok...a lot of gas.

Fiber is important in the diet but in excess it can get somewhat embarrassing. I would suggest a stool softener such as Peri-Colace. It is not a laxative so it will not cause cramping or dependency.
