My girl wears a "Turian" style Eternity Collar (http://eternitycollars.com/index.php?cPath=18_44). My personal views on collars, other than those just for looks, or practical use, are that they should be made of steel and lock. I know a lot of people don't feel that their lifestyles would allow such things, but honestly it hasn't really been an issue. She has been wearing hers for 5 years now and other than a few comments on it (usually thinking it is some tribal thing) it isn't a big deal. She is even in management, and wears a personalized heart shaped dog-tag on it, so it appears that if YOU don't make a big deal about it, others don't either. It's not like we are still in the 50's or anything, well... maybe it is still kind of like the 50's here in Maine... but we get away with it anyway. Sometimes I see pretty collars and think I would like to pick up other styles for something that stands out a little more, or maybe a flat-style (the one you linked originally was nice) for a change. I always seem to fall back into my idea that once it's on... it's ON, though, and I have never changed it.
