Now that i have i am not only sickened but greatly saddened and dismayed that i am not only part of the human race but aligned with a part of a segment of the population that is so quick to jump up and castrate  anyone who even begins to think about belittling, degrading, or abusing us....and yet here are the same women laughing at women who have been 'cheated' on attacking and violating a man...CHEATED on?  Really??!! Cheated on?? Seriously? i mean He didn't rape them, right? He didn't beat them into oblivion right? He didn't rape or beat their children right? Comparatively is this really a huge crime in the grand scheme of things?
As a feminist (yeah...that's right i said it...bite me) i am outraged at the fact that the rest of the women on her have no anger towards the other women. In fact, at what point are these *justified villains* going to be held accountable for their parts today...For the fact that they in fact picked a partner who cheated on them? i don't understand why people would find causing such damage to anther's human body so humorous. i find it sad... And frankly i find the people who  have minimized the harm and impact that this has had on these people's families, their neighborhoods, and society as a whole very disturbing. i can not begin to stress enough that i hope some people on here seek out some sort of professional help.

This is precisely why (among other reasons of course) that I absolutely HATE that song "Before He Cheats" by.....I think Carrie Underwood. Because all too often a woman will not wait to have hard evidence of the cheating, she'll do that to a man's car just on suspicion of it. If a girl ever....EVER did that to my car, not only would the relationship be QUITE over, but I'd do everything in my power to make sure she went to jail if possible.

Status: offline 		Tulip, when I mentioned this story at work, both women there began laughing, until I pointed out the criminal charges involved, then they got the idea that maybe they should shut up.

Two others were talking about how fucked up their exes are, and how they should make and market a "manyata", the male version of a pinata, so I suppose I shouldn't have been disappointed.

That's a "blue" law, and it isn't enforced anymore. A lot of states have those old laws on the books, but they aren't enforceable because of court decisions. Some states still have sodomy laws on the books prohibiting consensual homosexual sex, but a Supreme Court decision made them null and void. Your post is irrelevant to what Steel said. Adultury is NOT illegal under current law regardless of what some old statute reads.

The Law is almost circular making it impossible to prosecute apparently you need to show intent, and apparently due to the nature of human sexuality a iron clad defence against the law is "I was Horny, and can't be held responsible for my sexual actions while horny" Even more odd is that the way the law is supposedly worded you HAVE to be caught in the act and it also has to be witnessed and intent has to be understood by all parties..... MEANING

The Cop has to witness the actual act of sex be able to prove that the sex was done for the sole intent of commiting the crime of adultry and that it was understood by all parties that adultry was being committed meaning that she has to know that he is cheating in his wife and that they have no intent of seperation.

AND... so far none of the people I have contacted are aware of if the law is current or not, meaning it may have at one time been a law that was on the books from the last charter writing but my not be in the bylaws of the state. I am still researching.

So far everyone who heard it has all said the same thing "I would LOVE to see someone get tried on that."

Was this a joke or sarcasm? 

From this angle, let's look at it from a BDSM point of view.  The guy consented to be tied up from what I understand.  I don't think he consented to this particular type of CBT.  It's like any other act that is not in that kind of context.  If I beat somebody who is willing, it's one thing.  If I beat somebody I'm not in they type of dynamic, it's assault. 

I get that the fact the wife wanted to have her revenge for the cheating.  I'd be mad as hell too if I caught My husband cheating.  (We're poly and I promise you there is a difference.)  Heck, I might even be so inclined to tie him up and scare the crap out of him.  Actually committing the act would be criminal.

One thing not criminal and a very minor side note.  I don't think they can get the wife for taking the car.  Community property and all.

Superglue stops working on the human body fairly quickly and doesn't damage it. I've superglued on several halloween costumes such as devil horns and have never had the glue even make it to the end of the night. The physiological damage caused by the whole sexual assault/false imprisonment thing is another matter and yeah it isn't humorous. It's also my understanding that he wasn't just sleeping around, he was swindling these women, so yeah I would rate it a serious crime but I wish they had gone to the police and the newspapers instead of taking the law into their own hands.

I did think this was funny (sue me). I don't excuse what the women did. They deserve som jail time and need some serious counseling. The guy should learn his lesson. You can't do that kind of shit without consequences. I have NEVER cheated on anyone in my entire life. When I want someone else, I tell my current lover. It isn't as pleasant experience, but usually when you're at that point, your lover understands.

944.16 Adultery.

Whoever does either of the following is
guilty of a Class I felony:

(1) A married person who has sexual intercourse with a person
not the married person’s spouse; or

(2) A person who has sexual intercourse with a person who is
married to another.

History: 1977 c. 173; 1993 a. 486; 2001 a. 109.


This law was last modified in 2006 changing adultry from a class E felony to a class I felony. It carries up to a $10,000 fine and up to 3 years in prison for a first offense as punishment.

Adultry is, generally, not prosecuted as a stand alone crime but added on to other sex crimes such as rape or sexual assualt because it raises the conviction rates for the DA's office.

How is that 'not' relevant to Steele's post?

Status: offline 		I need to find the case but in Michigan a man was held on charges of adultery as a means to search his home for another, more serious crime. It was sometime last year. If I find a link, I'll share it.

They are laws and in many more than one state.

The Michigan one is upsetting because unless he was actually in the act anything found would be circumstancial because the crime of adultry must be proven without a doubt. It works in Rape once it is proven that the girl was raped and DNA or Admission of guilt has been determined. The Warrant was THIN I mean REALLY THIN!!

I admit I was mistaken about Adultry not being a crime, it is but it is one that is used to beef up charges and in at least the above case abuse a constitutional right of illegal search and seziure, but it is a law and it is used.

Upon further reasearch MANY states have Adultry laws used as additional charge violations meaning you will usually only get them when you have been found guilty of another charge.

It is not a charge that a someone can use against their partner which is how I had understood it. You cannot call the police because your partner was fucking someone else and have them arrested for it. This was the point I made as I understood it and assumed that there was no law against adultry.

I admit I was wrong about that.
