AAkasha -> True Blood: Ladies, who would you want in your cage? (8/4/2009 11:07:19 AM)

For the ladies that watch "True Blood," which of the men (their characters, I should say) most flips your femdom switch; which man would you most desire to have submit to you?  Note: I am talking about their personalities as portrayed in the show, not their real life personalities, of which I can only speculate.

I don't watch many TV shows regularly, but I have found that when I do, I slowly become "attracted" to male characters as they develop (in some cases) and it evolves into some level of desire to see them dominated.  I can list some male characters off the top of my head as examples of guys that I first saw and went, "not my type" to later seeing SOMETHING (in the character they portray) that I'd enjoy seeing helpless: Don Draper (Mad Men), Peter-with-the-good-hair (Heroes), and now, my latest curiosity, Sam from True Blood.  The first couple of times I saw True Blood, I found nothing attractive, really, about Sam, or Bill, or even Eric, who I think is supposed to be dreamy to many ladies.  But Sam grew on me, and although his character is "not my type," I'd certainly change my tune on that now.

(As a contract, I think Jason Stackhouse, at the core, is much more physically attractive - ie, HOT -- but his personality, as portrayed, does not appeal to my femdom side)

There are many different "personalities" or demeanors that I find myself attracted to, and desire seeing how they would surrender, submit, and ultimately be helpless for me. It's not just men who "act submissive" or are attentive or are charming.  They could portray some kind of dark side, or they could be playful, or they could be very stoic, almost, but mysterious and dark (a la Don Draper, whose character, I suspect, would be a bit of a challenge to get to submit, but oh-so hot when he did).

I suppose this may seem like a bit of a silly topic, but hey, I'm in a silly mood.  Moreso, I'm curious about how "attraction" develops in other femdoms. Do you find yourself not attracted to a guy initially, then you get to know him, and the desire to dominate him surfaces?  Sort of like vanilla chemistry as well; but for me, they kind of evolve side by side.  Personality types, demeanors either push my femdom buttons or they don't.

Erik Northman, I don't usually go for blondes but there is something about him that I find appealing. I guess having a dangerous playtoy appeals to me somewhat. I also think beneath that dangerous exterior there lies a well hidden humanity. I could be wrong but I think we will find out in the next few episodes.

I also wouldn't mind having Jessica in my cage, she is just so innocent but soo naughty at the same time and that hair woooohoooo....she is a hottie.

So I need to appear on a television series before I am placed in a cage?

Tough crowd, tough crowd.

I'll see what I can do.

Dominic West and Idris Elba. In the same cage, please.

Ed Wood, Jack Sparrow, and Johnny Depp. They, of course, are in the same cage by default.

I just recently got hooked on True Blood.  Damn, but that show does have a cast of yummies, don't they?

LadyAngel1 -> RE: True Blood: Ladies, who would you want in your cage? (8/4/2009 8:35:34 PM)

I got hooked on the show last season.  It didn't take me long to find Bill to my liking.  There is something super-hot about him, plus I love how in-tune he is with Sookie; how well-mannered he is, and how kind and fair he tries to be... plus every time those teeth pop, I swoon!.  I would gladly house him in my cage... plus, in real-life he has a most sexy british accent!

Jason Stackhouse, isn't my type as he is portrayed as so disrespectful to women.  Physically, he's not my type either- he's a little smallish.  He has an Australian sort of accent in real life which brings him up a notch in my opinion.

I liked Sam a little better last season.  He's adorable and was soft and sweet. This season he would drive me crazy with his lack of communication and his cold/hot demeanor.  Still, he's too cute.

The male who is Jessica's boyfriend is so sweet and innocent.... and a virgin!    That works for me!

Eric is too cold and bold for my taste, though I could see him being really cute if he wasn't so... ummmm... pasty.

It's nice to find a show that has some eye candy for us Ladies!

I've only watched a few episodes and I'm not yet sure of the appeal.
At this point, the most tasty morsel is Anna Paquin (from X-Men) who plays Sookie.
The vampiers all look like they have serious illnesses and I have a set of more convincing fangs than those freaky fangs that flip down with a metal grinding sound.
I did enjoy the flash-back battle scene where the blonde dude was made into a vampire by the kid who called himself Death; found him a bit more hot after that, though I favor dark hair.
I think I need to understand the backgrounds and the characters more.

As for this question:
Do you find yourself not attracted to a guy initially, then you get to know him, and the desire to dominate him surfaces?
I've only been solidly and overtly on the D-side of the kneel in one relationship and I did not like that guy at all at first.  I thought he was disrespectful and dismissive.  Across time, we became friends: there are few who I've debated with as heatedly as that man and enjoyed it so very much.  And, as the years slid by (He and my ex- were in the Marine Corps together), feelings developed, and dynamics brought to bear.  I appreciate that he didn't simper and bow-down initially; it's so freakin' hot to have a formidable man beg to be at your feet, to be used by you, etc.

Okay, upon contemplating that, I think I need a moment, or several....  :>

Excludes those of us watching broadcast digital. What *NETWORK* is that on?

It is an HBO series and one of the best I've seen in quite some time.

Is it wrong I want to cage up LAFAYETTE!?!?!? Dang, he is too much and I love, love, love him!!!

Maybe he'd like me if I wore my strap-on all of the time? lol.....

eta - I have definitely taking an interest in Hoyt since he stood up to his mother! And I know what you mean about jason, gawd, the body on him, dumb as a box of feathers that one! Still, he'd be pretty with a bunch of lash marks across that tushi of his!

LadyAngel1 -> RE: True Blood: Ladies, who would you want in your cage? (8/5/2009 7:58:01 AM)

Yes!  I forgot about Lafayette!  I hope his character changes back to his old self soon.   I'm sure a night in a dominant woman's cage would bring him over to (at least) the bi-side.

You stole my Lafayette!!!! I was going down the responses thinking... geee... nobody took Lafayette. I can get him -aaaaall- to myself.... *grumblegrumble*

The rest of them are -nothing- like what I'd pictured in my head while reading the books -- and maybe it's just me, but I expected Eric to be overwhelmingly gorgeous and... well... eww... If I can't take Lafayette, then I want Eggs... poor 2nd best, I know, but he'll do in a pinch.

I actually enjoy the show much more than the books, which lost me about #3 to be honest. I like sam. He's already a nice little submissive type, give him some direction and he'll be just fine! But is that beastiality? or only if you really do it doggie style...hmmmm.  Now lafayette is quite the dangerous sweetie, and i'm quite sure he could handle my mate and i as a couple :)

really looking forward to IFC's new Anita Blake series that is supposed to be out next year!

I don't think so... my dad tried for 15 years, then gave it up as a lost cause. *LOL*

They are doing a Anita Blake series? They will have to make it X rated.
She spends most of her time on her back as the series goes on. (But its NEVER her fault, supernatural forces MAKE her.) I liked the books to begin with but by the last few I was hoping she would just get killed off.

I love the old Anita Blake, back when she actually was doing her job rather than fucking every guy in sight. I hope she gets back to business but if not I think some new characters will have to be introduced as the story is getting boring.

She is such a whining victim now.
I flick past all the tedious sex scenes which doesn't leave much story left.
For a number of books she has known that she has a succubus spirit that needs too be fed daily but she constantly gets herself and others in danger for no other reason than she can't organize herself despite having well, Ive lost count of the number of lovers.(Give the girl a PDA or something.)
The author has twisted the story around so much to get as many new sex partners in as possible while still trying to constantly emphasis how much this isn't really Anitas fault she has a disability.
Anita just comes across as an incompetent "sprained ankle during an emergency " type.

Back to TrueBlood, they better write in Quinn in the future. In the book he is Hot! ( I won't say anymore about him due to spoilers)
