No,I replied to this article in the thread on it in the politics forum, I just thought I would point out that fact to show that the writer is guilty of a bias as well, and is not above misleading or lying to prove the intended point.

You might want to go back to the link & click on her Bio. She was in the USSR during the Communist era, living, working, and evidently drinking lots of vodka with the crews on fishing boats in the Bearing Sea. I'd think she had a much better insight into life there then than most folks from our culture because she was a translator and therefore could speak the language well. I would think that coming back here and reading what little there was in the press at that time after seeing life in that society up close would cause her to say that it was being misreported. I definitely do not think that she is lying or misrepresenting the facts.
