I very much enjoy objectification with my submissive, but objectification and degradation are not one and the same.

pleasedegrademe's post focused on "Degradation and objectification / mind control," which lumps a lot of different things together.

Often people in the scene will distinguish humiliation and degradation, with the distinction resting on whether the domme takes pleasure in the sub/slave's proof of devotion through certain acts or whether the domme thinks less of the sub/slave because he does certain acts. The acts are highly relative, with washing the dishes being humiliating to some men and routine and asexual for others.

Objectification, such as being used as furniture or as a urinal, is one type of act. lucky's observation here is that being an object can mean being relatively ignored by the domme for long periods. Kneeling on all fours while being sat of for a long time eventually becomes punishment, not just humiliation, for instance. Newbies may find the reality of objectification more challenging than initial fantasies aboud the humiliating aspects. lucky has enjoyed it but it is not for everyone.

Then mind control is something different and is a form of "being forced" fantasy. While some dommes are into hypnodomination and other mind control variants, lucky's experience is that most dommes prefer obedience freely given because the slave is devoted, not forced.

Hi pleasedegrademe,

Always nice to see people from our half of the state. :)

I have a submissive to give me comfort and amusement, and objectification does both.

Just as an example, at different times, my sub is my table, my chair, my footstool, the rug beneath my feet. My latest brilliant idea

is to play with him as a big buff Ken doll, with a pile of clothes to dress and undress him, and pose him at will. (I never had one when I was a kid.) I objectify him sexually, but I’m not about to go into detail. I love puppy play, too, but it’s not the right fit for him. He’s just too intense.

None of this is about degradation, though. Being my bitch is factual, not degrading to him. While my sub is well aware of how lucky he is that I’ve chosen him, he has pride in himself as a submissive precisely because I *have* chosen him. That pride in himself as my submissive is what elevates him to levels of submission he never anticipated to meet my expectations.

The bottom line is my time is too valuable to waste on a “worthless” sub.
