I really have sent a scan of my drivers licence to female subs before meeting them in real life, specifically so they could do criminal background checks on me. I honestly don't see why it's such a big frikkin deal. A woman who thinks I'm cool and sexy, and is looking for a relationship and has a stable job, is not gonna turn into the Queen of Identity Theft. Okay, thread hijack over.[;)]

I always figure, once I give someone the email address I use most outside of here, they have everything they need to find out if I am "real" or not. It has my full name. With that you can use the white pages and find my address that even has an arial view of my happy little farm. As does Google Earth. Unfortunately I am not visible outside in either view. My old car is, however. As is, trees I've planted, a deck and horse shed I helped build. Not to mention a $30,000.00 garage I argued viciously about for weeks before it was built. If that isn't real enough, they can kiss my virtual ass. Cuz they won't get close enough to the real one.

And that anyone can make a throwaway email address in about 3 minutes? Your "technique" for weeding out fakes is what a good scammer is counting on. Once they send you this stuff, all doubts are gone and they will happily proceed with parting a fool from his money. You need to ramp up your BS meter in a serious way, dude. Or, as others have said, get out from behind they keyboard and into meatlife.

I can't say that I'd encourage the same thing for females, Red. This is just My personal opinion, but during the getting to know someone phase, it isn't always the best idea to let someone that you don't know well have all of your personal info. Thread hijack back off. To the OP. Guess what? I can out fake at least part of your plan for weeding out fakes. I happen to have a driver's license that doesn't have My legal name or address listed on it, back from the days before I was married to MP. It's still valid by date and I most recently used it when signing up to attend Thunder in the Mountains. Just remember, whenever you think something is foolproof, there's someone out there who can prove you a fool.

I echo all of the thoughts that your 'verifications' are ludicrous. I mean: how does one know you're not a freakin' axe murderer; because someone is a slave does not mean they're stupid! Now, as to your question regarding Maryland groups near Annapolis, there's Black Rose and there is BESS. I'm sure those aren't the only ones. But, seriously, dude, reality check. Davan (Who isn't terribly keen on some aspects of reality at this very moment but still is residing there-in, I think)
