Status: offline 		I really have sent a scan of my drivers licence to female subs before meeting them in real life, specifically so they could do criminal background checks on me.  I honestly don't see why it's such a big frikkin deal.  A woman who thinks I'm cool and sexy, and is looking for a relationship and has a stable job, is not gonna turn into the Queen of Identity Theft.

Status: offline 		I always figure, once I give someone the email address I use most outside of here, they have everything they need to find out if I am "real" or not.

It has my full name. With that you can use the white pages and find my address that even has an arial view of my happy little farm. As does Google Earth. Unfortunately I am not visible outside in either view. My old car is, however. As is, trees I've planted, a deck and horse shed I helped build. Not to mention a $30,000.00 garage I argued viciously about for weeks before it was built.

If that isn't real enough, they can kiss my virtual ass. Cuz they won't get close enough to the real one.

It must be MY fault.  I didn't send him my registration numbers or my passwords.  However, in my defense, he's looking for those young nubile slaves types.  He probably would just turn down this recycled one and hurt my itty bitty feelings anyway.

To the OP- Ummmm... you DO know that scammers recycle the driver's licenses, pictures, and other papers that their victims send them, right? And that anyone can make a throwaway email address in about 3 minutes?
Your "technique" for weeding out fakes is what a good scammer is counting on. Once they send you this stuff, all doubts are gone and they will happily proceed with parting a fool from his money.

You need to ramp up your BS meter in a serious way, dude. Or, as others have said, get out from behind they keyboard and into meatlife.

hahahahahahaha  lmao   Why on Goddess' green earth would anyone give such personal information to a complete stranger, no matter who they say they are???  And what do you do to prove to them who you are???  Anyone with half a brain would know that that has identity theft written all over it.  I'm not saying you'd do that, all I'm saying is that with that kind of information someone could do that.

I can't say that I'd encourage the same thing for females, Red.  This is just My personal opinion, but during the getting to know someone phase, it isn't always the best idea to let someone that you don't know well have all of your personal info.

To the OP.  Guess what?  I can out fake at least part of your plan for weeding out fakes.  I happen to have a driver's license that doesn't have My legal name or address listed on it, back from the days before I was married to MP.  It's still valid by date and I most recently used it when signing up to attend Thunder in the Mountains. 

Just remember, whenever you think something is foolproof, there's someone out there who can prove you a fool.
