Pepper was outside at midnight on wednesday for two hours (according to my partner as I was at work overnight) and when she returned she threw up heavily soon after getting in and then was just not the same anymore....she wasn't keen on her treats and lied right next to him during that night (she usually does not do that...she either lies in her cat bed or on my feet....) When I came home thursday afternoon she was still not her lil happy self... she was very obviously in discomfort when I hold her and whilst she did drink out of the sink in the bathroom (her habbit) she did not jump off it....nor did she jump off the toilet seat, when I placed her there afterwards (I wanted to double check her back legs, as I had the vague impression, that she had problems with them)... So I called my partner at work and we agreed that she will have to go to the vet....so after his job was done he picked us up (appointment was made) and the vet assumes, that she got hit by a car actually....due to different signs she showed us (according to her, the split claws are often a sign when cats claw themselves onto the street whilst running off in panic or when they hold themselves due to panic)....she could not feel any obviously broken ribs and her tummy also remained soft, but she had a bit of a temperature and she took her blood and gave her antibiotics (in case it is an infection instead) and a painkiller via an injection... Once we got home, she was "normal" again....she jumped up and down stuff and was very keen on her treats and ate other stuff.....thankfully.... Today we called the vet back (yesterday we have had public holiday over here, so a lot of stuff was closed) and she told us, that her blood results were actually so bad, that her muscles were about to burst very soon.... So now she got another painkiller injection today and from monday to friday she will get 2 tablets per day.... I hope she will be fine again by then....but am just glad, that she appears to be much better than she looked like on thursday, before our first trip to the vet....as we were really scared about the outcome
