With so many on here throwing in their 2 cents worth... in opinions... thoughts... ideas... smart ass remarks.. etc... No one can really tell when anyones being harsh, threatening.. a smart ass.. a dip shit... idiot.. or any other things really.. in all honest.... unless they really know this person in more ways than on CM forums.

I can sit here and type up a few words... and that's all they're going to.. words on a screen. Because you do not know me.. you do not know how I sound... what feelings are behind these words. You can always ASSUME... but you won't ever really know for sure unless you have at least spoken to me and know exactly how I talk and come across...

Someone can say something.. to one.. seems mean.. when the person typing it.. was laughing.. and being a smart ass.. humerous... not mean... but the person reading it.. will take it as being mean. (Guilty.. hey shit happens.. i've been on both sides if this coin)

Best thing to do .... is read it.. thinking it over.. but don't put no stock in it on a personal level..... Have a nice day.. (ok being a smart ass here... lol)

*snoring, boring*

Oh yes, let's all agree and get along and be nicey nicey(fakey, fakey).
Hey let's not swear anymore either guy's okay[8|].

Let's be nice and only supportive when the OP is being a total smuck!
Let's bite out tongues and make all our noses brown.
Oh and I think we better all go to "introductions" and acknowledge all new people with a curtsy and a smile, let's make this a requirement!! This would become such a merry place, thoughtfulness would abound! I can imagine how fast people would get bored and I will add not learn a fricken thing[:-].

Because this is really serious and people's feelings can get hurt, everyone be nice and agreeable and watch how fast growth stops![8|]

Breath deep, slowly.....repeat "I can not control others or whole forum boards"....Breath, Breath.......

MistressSassy66 -> RE: Questions? (2/23/2006 8:17:56 PM)

I'm sorry but it sure did seem like the join a "knitting group" was aimed at ME,or at least towards people like Myself who would only like to see less fighting.I tried knitting it was way too boring until I discovered poking someone with the needles was the real fun [:D]

For the record there is nothing wrong with warm and fuzzy(a by product of knitting,I couldnt resist...LOL).Everyone should try it.

All I'm seeking is for an answer "WHY" the rudeness, why is it tolerated.I have gotten what I wanted.

Would you or anyone else here, besides Me... Agree that playing nice with each other here is a start towards playing nice with others elsewhere?

You need to clap louder I cant hear you applauding(LOL)

Why cant it work....NO one cares enough to make happen?
Maybe the people that read this take some of it to heart maybe they dont....
Thats upto them I did My part and put an idea out there...its up to the rest of you here
to chose your actions.

One person can make a difference.....

What is the point of having a INTRODUCE YOURSELF...when it seems no one cares if your here or not...Unless of course you have been here long enough to get to know anyone,in which case theres no need to intro yourself...but thats only if you can make it through the initiation period.

Someday....Maybe someday....I'll make it [sm=rolleyes.gif]

Curiousity is killing Me...Is it possible to have an intelligent discussion without feelings getting hurt?

I look forward to your answers.

Of course it is, look round the forums and you may notice that a great many of the people YOU seem to have a problem with get on rather well and have many an intelligent discussion and there is rather a robust humour displayed without any feelings hurt what so ever.

Your telling folks they are not tollerant, but from here it looks like you your the intollerant one. Not to insult but to illustrate the impression you give me... you come across like an overgrown girl scout fundamentalist Christian on a mission to convert everyone to the 'joys' of being politicaly correct.

Exactly the sort of person who is likely to have a personality clash with the likes of me. Unlike some folks I don't put on a mask. I write much in the tone I speak. If someone gives me reason to respect them, they get respect. Someone gives me reason to be kind and reasuring, they get kind and reasuring, someone comes in with an overblown ego and a hostile tone trying to tell me how to act, they are likely to get a rather blunt responce.

If you are about to ask "But don't you care what that looks like to others?" the answer is no, not in the slightest. Those who like me for who I am then great, those who don't, thats their problem. There is only ONE person I change for and that is ME!

Glad its working for you. OR is it really working?

Actually yes...it is working. Because the ones who MATTER see past it, and accept it as a part of me.

quote:

Does it makes you happy to be obnoxious and rude....Why?

Well, sometimes yes it does, those are times that I am that way on purpose. If someone does not like it, then well...tough shit...don't pay any attention to me. As I said, it matters not to me.

quote:

Are you rude and obnoxious in posting just because you can be?Again Why?

Actually, when the situation warrants it...I am this way in person also. Why? Because I have no tolerance for stupidity. Push the button, and yes, in person or on a board, I will become very obnoxious, rude and downright cruel if I have to.

As I said, I make no apologies for the way I am. I have been this way all my life, and I don't see it changing anytime in the near future. Someone does not like it...move on to the next person. There is no law that says what I write or say, has to be read or heard.

Theres no law against farting in a crowded elevator either.

Wait one second...I have a problem with rudeness,I named NO ONE in particular, everyone at some point is guilty of it MYSELF included...I am not alone in wishing to be able to read an entire thread without some type of fight...without doing the actual numbers I would say 50% of threads end up in someone picking one someone else.

Wow thats a first...I have never been told I was intolerent of others infact many have said the opposite.
Actually I was a Girl Scout and raised Christian, can you give Me an example where I have mentioned God anywhere in My posts?
I have only raised the questions read the answers and debated them.
I'm fairly sure the replys have all been pleasant without name calling...Not that I am ashamed of being called a Girl Scout(all the way up line even),quite proud infact.

I'm not putting on a mask either...this is Me like or not.
I give people the benefit of respect just because the are people,if you have make someone earn it before you even know them...I'm speechless at that.
I may not agree with you...but I still repsect your right to an opinion,I respect the fact you even have one.I respect your right to post.

I dont believe I have had a hostile tone and I dont recall asking YOU specifically, therefore I'm not telling you what to do.I asked a bunch of questions...

Why are you assuming I'm trying to tell you how to act,I have a right to post here and post whatever opinion/QUESTION I have just aswell as you do Friend.

I'm glad to know you have friends that like you the way you are.Everyone should.

Thanks for your reply[:)]

I couldn't care less what others have said, for me it is MY perspective that counts and to ME your PC attitude IS intollerant and patronising.

quote:

Did I say you mentioned 'god'? No I reffered to your attitude.... you where not hard to spot though where you dear, thanks for the confirmation!

That is why I made it clear it wasn't name calling but rather given you seem so focused on how people come across to others an example of how your attitude comes across to this, avowedly, non-PC Scot.

quote:

I'm not putting on a mask either...this is Me like or not.

Not, but thats fine as I said, you seem the type that is almost always going to find a personality clash with the likes of me whne you start on your little PC crusaides.

If only you where speechless dear..... for someone speachless you still had things to say[;)]

quote:

I may not agree with you...but I still repsect your right to an opinion,I respect the fact you even have one.I respect your right to post.

Why thank you dear. I shall rest easier knowing you respect that right..... frankly wether you do or don't it doesn't matter at all. the reality of the situation is that we both have a right to post here regardless of the others feelings or attitude. I'm just making sure you are quite clear on the fact that I find overly PC people offensive... so when you are considering what is offencive or not, you might want to remember that not everyone appreciates all the happy-clappy holier-than-thou rubbish!

quote:

I dont believe I have had a hostile tone and I dont recall asking YOU specifically, therefore I'm not telling you what to do.I asked a bunch of questions...

You have a somewhat short memory then don't you dear, or is it more that you don't take notice of who you quote when positng your irrelevant PC diatribes?

If they come in with the attitude that you have just shown in your very first post then it would be little wonder they get shunned or ignored.

Back up, take a deep breath, realise no-one has a right to anothers attention and that it must be EARNED by the right approach (And that applys as much to Dom/mes as it does to subs!).... then start again and try to repair the damage you just did yourself with such a dire first impression!

Have a read through the forums and you might notice that polite new people asking sensible questions 99% of the time get a helpful and friendly responce here.

If you mean by go check out such and such thread...yes that is ohhh so helpful.
Spend all day trying to find an answer on threads that are prehistoric.

I have seen very few people here take the time to answer questions...and lots more that jump on you for asking one and send you the dreaded "go look it up".

The people that have been around awhile need to remember they where a "newbie" once.
Didnt you want someone to guide you?Thats all anybody wants thats asks a question.

I can say Id rather help out someone new than watch them make mistakes, get hurt or worse.I know that I get a much better feeling if I can be helpful, better than I would feel if I knew the answer and didnt share it.

Remember that, just prior to your starting your little PC crusaide in this thread?

quote:

Why are you assuming I'm trying to tell you how to act,I have a right to post here and post whatever opinion/QUESTION I have just aswell as you do Friend.

You post it, people will challenge it.... I have done exactly that. If it has ruffled your feathers because you expected everyone to hold hands and sing kumbaya then Oh dear what a shame.

As the Americans say.... Have a nice day!

slt4hypnosis -> RE: Questions? (3/2/2006 6:32:30 AM)

Part of the experience of being online will always be learning to filter out the idiots. There are certainly enough to practice on.

That said, there is the old statement that "one man's trash is another's treasure". The whole point of "alternative lifestyles" might just be that we are all so different that we might say that

"One Domme's jerk is another Domme's joy."

I like that one, and I just made it up.

Of course it is OK for you to post candy, the rest of us don't have a problem with your words and as I told lil' miss PC there, even if people DO take issue from time to time, everyone has a right to post here and only the Modkins have a right to say otherwise.

Why are people assuming I mean them??
I have never mentioned anyone in particular...yet the posters here seem to think I meant them specifically.

I only asked a question....

Like I said before I have My answer.

Someone, somewhere has to be the mean One.Why....because Life would be too boring without it.End of story.

****NOTE: I'm not implying that any of the above posters are the One who has to be mean.*****
